Democrats in the critical must-win state of Florida are panicking at the lead Republicans have taken in in-person early voting in Miami-Dade County, a usually reliable blue bastion.
Democrats and Progressives in the traditionally solid blue Miami-Dade County are in a panic as early voting results indicate a spike for Republicans at the polls. Early in-person voting in the south Florida Democrat stalwart sees Republicans in the lead.
While Democrats are up overall in Miami-Dade County, when early in-person voting is isolated and analyzed it reveals Republicans are leading. This uptick in early Republican voters in a county that has consistently turned out overwhelmingly blue numbers has many Democrat analysist concerned.
Trump supporters are expected to turn out in heightened numbers on Election Day across the country, including in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties in Florida.
Kevin Cate, a self-anointed former spokesman for Barack Obama, expressed his concerned about it on Twitter and was open about it not being a good sign for Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Im concerned about Democratic turnout in Miami-Dade. This is an evergreen concern, but still, he tweeted.
Ned Ryun, the founder and CEO of American Majority, tweeted, As of this morning, Republicans are winning the early voting in Miami-Dade County, Florida by roughly 3,000 votes. For perspective, Hillary Clinton won that county by 30 pts in 2016 and still lost the state
Rasmussen Reports, one of the polling institutions that got the numbers right in 2016, has President Trump ahead of Joe Biden in Florida 49 percent to 46 percent. Florida is a critical swing state that holds 29 all-important Electoral College votes as its prize.
President Trump has been urging his supporters to vote in-person projecting a wariness about mail-in voting and the vulnerabilities it presents for voter fraud. If Miami-Dade is any indication, the Presidents supporters are taking his direction.
C'mon man.
Reagan won 49 states with 525 Electoral college votes and the only state he didn't win was MN.
The reason he didn't win MN was that he ran NO ADS on MN, and did not campaign there, because it was Mondale's home state and Reagan did not want to embarrass him.
Reagan felt sorry for wally and let him win his home state.
Reagan would have crushed Mondale, but chose not to.
You are worse than snarky, you are ignorant.
Republicans dont just lead in Dade county, they also lead in Palm Beach county. Only in Broward do Democrats lead. Those 3 counties are greater Miami. Without a massive advantage there, Democrats are screwed. The rest of Florida is pretty red. For Republicans to actually lead early voting in 2 of those 3 is staggering.
Trump is going to carry Florida again in a romp.
Baris & Barnes went over this. The Democrats burned up a lot of their 4 for 4 (ie voted in the last 4 presidential elections) voters doing mail in ballots. The Republicans have a lot of theirs left for voting day. What the Republicans have been getting to the polls are a lot of 1 for 4 and 2 for 4 voters (ie less reliable voters) so far.
Translation: the Republicans have plenty of ammonia left for Election Day. The Democrats dont.
Shes been replaced. You know that right? The Black woman (I forgot her name) who ran the corrupt Broward Democrat voter fraud machine for years and years was pushed out the door and into retirement by Governor DeSantis. I think Florida has a much better handle on Broward now and far more oversight.
How can they be sure that all the Republicans are voting for Trump or all the Democrats are voting for Biden?
You know what it is? I remember FR being so optimistic about Romney beating Obama (lets forget he's only a notch better than Zer0 and was not my pick but I want Zer0 gone!) and posters were talking EV numbers looking good for Republicans, etc. Saying on the ground in OHIO was better than polls were saying for Romney. I remember being on here on the live election thread and sorry to call someone out, but poster LS had people convinced it was going to be a win for Romney from all of the people on the inside he was talking to about the polling numbers.
I'm just super cautious about being too optimistic.
So...I get a little cautious
Romney didn’t have 20,000 people waiting in the heat, rain or snow for six hours just to have a shot at seeing him.
Often more than 20,000. I hear today’s rally in Tampa is being billed as the largest one yet.
Reagen barely lost MN and his opponent Mondale was from MN.
The article states IN PERSON VOTING Republicans lead in Dade.
TOTAL VOTES including VBM DEMOCRATS are still ahead by about 90K votes....but Writer is stating the IN PERSON VOTING slight lead for Republicans is not a typical trend probably related to Cuban/PR voters , thus Republicans over performing as a total vote in Dade.
Hopefully Republicans still come out on election day to swamp the Democrats scared of China Virus.
Thanks
Well at least theres that.
Even I can tell this is election is not like previous elections. I doubt that past is prologue in this case and I suspect that a fair number of the Republicans are voting for Biden and a fair number of the Democrats are voting for Trump.
Which will leave things just as they were.
Detested that freak and he and McCain were the most agonizing hold my nose votes I’ve ever done.
I wouldn’t have bothered getting off the sofa if Mittens was holding a rally in my kitchen.
The shame...the shame.
