Weekly jobless claims fall again in another sign of labor market improvement

Jobless claims totaled 709,000 last week, the Labor Department reported, below the 740,000 Wall Street forecast.
That represented a decline from the 757,000 total a week ago.
More than 21 million Americans are still collecting benefits, though the total is declining gradually.
First-time claims for unemployment insurance continued their decline last week, hitting another pandemic-era low in a sign that the labor market is gradually improving.
The Labor Department reported Thursday that jobless claims hit 709,000 for the week ended Nov. 7, down from 757,000 the week before. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had been looking for 740,000 new claims.
This marked the fourth consecutive week that the total declined from the previous period, though claims remain above the pre-coronavirus pandemic record 695,000 in 1982.
Georgia saw the biggest decline in claims, falling 14,127. Other significant drops came from Texas (-5,179), Kentucky (-4,979), New Jersey (-4,703) and Florida (-3,497). Washington saw a jump of 10,381, while California rose by 5,162 and Massachusetts reported an increase of 2,799.

You don’t have to convince Democrats about anything.
This is a contested election in which the courts & state legislatures will decide the winner & THEY ARE ALL GOP.
You only to have to convince the GOP that if they don’t fight for Trump right now, the GOP is finished.

Yesterday I happened to get the tail end of a Priest explaining that he could not get behind Biden no way no how if only on his stance on abortion.
From the way the Priest talked I felt he was the head of a Catholic school.
He said he didn’t want to see any tweets supporting Biden from the staff, that was not alright.
I was very impressed with him.
