Long story: years ago two former student and friends were co teaching severe special education students. One little girl was basically none verbal. During IEP her speaking level was being discussed The supervisor asked if she could put a sentence together — a verb plus noun. The older teacher said NO. The younger said several times a day. Both looked at her She replied she says “F....U”. Repeatedly all day long. Thus the term a “pronoun plus a verb” was created.
