Looks like the morning kitteh is in a cherry tree!

Good morning.

The migraine is back. I’ll try to do as much as I can this morning, but I don’t know how much that will be. Something will get done, for sure.

The shower has been had. I couldn’t figure out why I’ve been having so much trouble breathing lately, and Monday, when I headed over to the laundry room it hit me. Literally. Smoke from wood-burning fireplaces. NOT fun. I’ll have to ask my Favorite Son if there is much of that in Cabot.

I have a niece that had to move out of Ogden to Idaho in order to be able to breathe. She’s been a non-smoker all her life but the air quality in northern Utah is pretty bad.

Anyway, I have a few ideas for today that won’t require too much brain power or physical activity, but will get something done, anyway. I’m thinking of packing up the dishes, since I use disposable items for food. I think I have enough paper and other packing material that will cushion them well enough. And I can finish with the breakables.

If my back and head hold out, I should have at least four boxes done by the time I quit. Not big ones, but boxes, nonetheless.

Good morning. Sorry about the migraine! I hope you can accomplish what you want during the day. We are starting off with people who didn’t get up on time, again.

“I had a dream,” says James. “Was it a dream in which someone turned on the light and called, ‘Good morning! Rise and shine!’?”

I’ll just have to try and ignore the headache, which is sometimes possible and sometimes not. Stress and lack of sleep most likely. But when I feel me nodding off, or my eyelids try to slam shut, I get up and do Stuff.

I’m already planning what to pack for the trip. Since the wheels fell off of the suitcase when I got back from CO, I donated it and got another one. This one is hard-sided, and has the casters that allow it to be moved in any direction. It’s smaller but more stable, but adjustments will have to be made in the amount of clothing I take. I seems the toiletries take up the most room, these days!

Depending on how much I get done in the next week or two, I’m pretty sure I’ll be calling on some gals to come and help me pack. I look back and can’t imagine how I ever got to be this way, when I was such a whiz at packing when the kids were home. Ol’ Lady Crikety-back and illness, I guess! ;o])

Rocky emailed me last night JUST as I was drifting off to a deep sleep and told me that her neighbor in the next building, the one with the nasty little dog, has Covid, and that Brain, who cleans the clubhouse is very sick.

She cautioned me to be “very careful,” so I thanked her and reminded her that I don’t socialize much, and that she should also take care. She does far more interacting with people than I do.

It IS flu season...

Good morning. Happy Humphday.

Our puppy will see a puppy neurologist this afternoon. If they find nothing, they will diagnose idiopathic epilepsy.

Meantime, while researching drugs that have an ingredient that could find seizures, Mrs. ArGee discovered that the heartworm pills shouldn’t be offered year round unless mosquitoes are year round. They should only be offered during mosquito season. There’s some money we can start saving.

My daughter found she wouldn’t be teaching in the class room for 2 days next week and wouldn’t be teaching at all for the rest due to Thanksgiving so now I can go get her and bring her home.

She can’t just drive here, of course, because all the tyrants are feeling their oats. But if I only drive out of NYS for 24 hours or less I’m OK and she can quarantine while she’s with us.

I thought the election of Biden would fix Covid - at least all the scaremongering. But I guess we elected too many other Republicans so they still have to show us what the future brings.

Good Happy Humphday to you, too, ArGee!

Heartworms were unheard of in this country until about 50 years ago, and then they were confined to the Midwest. What a terrible thing to have inflicted on an animal.

I’m glad the pills don’t have to be taken year round, and I’m hoping Puppy will have something minor. Bless her little puppy heart!

People are really getting fed up with this thing called Covid. And I’m getting fed up with the medias’ installation of Harris as President. We all know Biden has dementia, and if he were anyone else, his handlers would be up on senior abuse charges.

But. Don’t get me started.

I’m sorry your daughter can’t teach, but it’s good she will be with you at Thanksgiving. My Favorite Daughter and The Guy can go back to work on Monday.

Unnngh all around, huh?

Good luck with the daughter, the puppy, Rocky, and Brain who cleans the clubhouse. I could have named a kid “Brain,” but how would you know in advance which one it suited.

Drama Queen, knowing I’m interested in names, texted the other day saying that one of her coworkers at the auto dealer is named General Washington III. I wonder if his friends call him Gene or G.W.

Well, I could have pelled it Biam if my own brane was working. But there seems to be some interference, and I’m just going to leave things the wayy they are because that’s how they look from the inside.

Some things work and some things take a walk. ;o]

I got the clothes folded finally, and managed to get some things bagged up in the dresser drawers but some can’t be packed, yet. Maybe, if I feel up to it (not having to handle soemthing breakable) i’ll bag up some of the clothes in the closet. I’m sure that counts as packing, right?

Then I check the cost of wardrobe boxes.

I hope your Driving Adventure With Pat wasn’t too stressful...

I have a theory that the spark of intelligence in each child is taken from the parents. That explains how we seem to be totally stupid once they turn 13.

It also explains why we’re dumb enough to put up with the terrible twos and to teach them to drive.

Personally, I had too many.

Cheated death again. Petsmart would sell us only 24 crickets, but that will keep Alice the gecko for quite a while.

geologists have always known there were two plates in the Pacific Ocean at that time called Kula and Farallon.

Actually, geologists have known about plates since the sixties or so. Before that, they fought tooth and nail against plate tectonics theory (or continental drift as it was originally proposed by Alfred Wegener).

Found this somewhere else:

British Tea Translator:

“Cup of tea?” — Welcoming a guest.

“Tea?” — Finding the situation awkward.

“Spot of tea?” — A foreign guest has activated Hyper-English, Mary Poppins style.

“Pot of tea?” — Trying to impress the in-laws.

“I’ll make some tea.” — There has been complete devastation.

That’s cute.

We use, “Can I make you a hot beverage?” from The Big Bang Theory.

I’m working on housecleaning. Ten days until the Advent Kitteh comes, so I have a lot to get done. I’ll need to get Tom and his Useful Height for the ceiling fan blades.

I took a break from cleaning to make some phone calls for the church education program. Making phone calls is very stressful for me. I will reward myself with an early bedtime when I get done.

This morning, I had Pat phone Petsmart and ask if they had crickets. Calling Petsmart isn’t stressful, because it isn’t “me” calling - it’s Random Customer calling, if you get my meaning. I just wanted Pat to practice calling a store and asking a question.

I was texting with Drama Queen while Pat was driving. She said she has to make calls at work to set up service appointments, and people are always hanging up on her because she sounds like “Jessica from Cardholder Services” or “Sarah, calling about your quest for affordable health insurance.”
