On this holiest of Jewish religious observances, Melania and I send our warmest greetings to our Jewish brothers and sisters in America and around the world for a blessed Yom Kippur.
Yom Kippur signals the end of the High Holy Daysa 10-day period of repentance filled with prayer, fasting, and fellowship, which concludes with the Day of Atonement. As the shofar bellows throughout communities this Yom Kippur, we are reminded of how important our faith has been over these past months as we continue to face the challenges posed by the coronavirus. Through the Almightys love and the power of prayer, we have found renewed strength and understanding to face these unprecedented times with stalwart resolve.
Today, as so many seek Gods forgiveness and mercy, let us all resolve to incorporate these virtues of compassion into our daily lives. We wish all Jewish people an easy fast and a meaningful and memorable Sabbath of Sabbaths.

As the shofar bellows throughout communities this Yom KippurIt was reported yesterday that a shofar could be heard just as ACB was nominated. It came from the prayer march in DC. I do not know if this was true or not, but it would certainly make you think about its coincidence if true.

This guy exudes class. It is astonishing to me that, thanks to the lispers at NPR and the rest of the mainstream media he may lose this election to a drunk pedophile imbecile, alas, "never underestimate the stupidity of the American public."
Today at a Fairfax County VA Costco and Shopper's Food Warehouse I was once again reminded who truly wields political power - and who has privilege - in our country.
You paid for your fancy groceries, crab legs, etc., with a WIC card or two. I helped you put them into your brand new Lexus. Now I am worrying again about how to keep working, feed my family, make repairs, etc. Who's the sucker?

It was reported yesterday that a shofar could be heard just as ACB was nominated If true (and I see no reason to doubt it in these strange days and times), maybe it's a sign.
If the sound had no ascertainable source, that might even make me think Gabriel was signalling something else coming in the very near future. Just my $.02.

WIC is very restrictive. Maybe you meant EBT card.

Yom Kippur signals the end of the High Holy Daysa 10-day period of repentance filled with prayer, fasting, and fellowship, which concludes with the Day of Atonement. This is not accurate. After YK comes Sukkot, which contains two more High Holy Days before the festival season ends.

Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles, begins five days after Yom Kippur.
It’s a harvest celebration that was the inspiration for the American Thanksgiving Day.
It began as a seven-day feast (later expanded to eight) when all the tithes the Israelites had set aside during the year were brought to Jerusalem for a joyous time of national celebration and thanksgiving for the Lord’s bountiful provision.

Wow. No offense, but WIC and EBT are traded amongst “the oppressed” like baseball cards.
