Daniel Boone IV made the decorative ironwork in my Dad’s house.
I was born in Kentucky, raised in Missouri, listened to stories of Boone and Crockett. Read a lot stories about those guys and their kind. Hunted, trapped, fished, and played hell in the Missouri mud. Im an old man and have no regrets. America is a blessing on all who call her home. IMHO
Im an old man

Your aren’t old, just used a bit.
This
Suffered unspeakably cruel loss of first born son
Brave man
living 86 years back then in the frontiers
one tough sonofabitch
I hear tell Daniel Boone killed him a barr when he was only three.
Hmmmmm, I wonder - any relation to AG Barr?
LOL!
I mixed my frontier heroes....s/b Davey Crockett.
Remarkable frontiersman. Boone explored the Yellowstone River drainage when he was in his 80s.
I yearn to have lived in those yeats.
My condolences to his friends and family.
fun fact.
I am a descendant of Squire Boone - Daniel Boone’s brother.
Celebrity Death Match: Daniel Boone vs Davy Crockett
Who ya got?
Haha. He is my first cousin, 7 times removed. But, I am sure there are thousands of people related to him today.
I'm too fond of indoor plumbing for that.
My great-great-great, etc. uncle Benjamin Hinkle was Boone's brother-in-law and lived near him on the Forks of the Yadkin in the 1750s. He was married to Susannah Bryan, a sister of Boone's wife Rebecca.
Wow! Only 20 years before Biden started serving in the Senate.
Considering that its Donald Trumps fault that he died, Im surprised that the MSM isnt covering this! Everything negative that happens throughout the entire universe-past, present, and future-is Donald Trumps fault, according to The Left and MSM. Just ask Joe Biden.
I live near Boonesborough. My cousin used to live there because his dad worked on the locks of the Kentucky River there and we’d go to visit on Sundays.
It’s not a town but today, there’s a replica fort in a State Park where they make candles and do other trades the old fashion way dressed in period dress. It’s about 6-8 miles from I-75 at approximately mile marker 96. One of the local elementary schools is named for Boone (and another for Kit Carson, who was born nearby).
Another COVID death.
