Pope Francis urged world leaders Friday to use the coronavirus emergency as an opportunity to reform the injustices of the global economy and the “perverse logic” of the nuclear deterrence doctrine, warning that increased isolationist responses to problems “must not prevail.”
Francis laid out his appeal for greater involvement and influence of the United Nations in protecting the poor, migrants and the environment in a videotaped speech Friday to the U.N. General Assembly, held mostly virtually this year because of the pandemic.
Francis said the world has a choice to make as it emerges from the COVID-19 crisis and addresses the grave economic impact it has had on the planet’s most vulnerable: greater solidarity, dialogue and multilateralism, or self-retreat into greater nationalism, individualism and elitism. […]
Francis called for basic health care for all, the reduction, if not forgiveness of debt for the world’s poorest countries and a reform of the Bretton-Woods financial institutions which he said are only escalating inequalities between rich and poor.

Most Americans including this one were not aware that that the Italian socialist government had actually allowed the Chinese communists to purchase thus remove Italian ownership of a large segment of their fashion industry producers. Then replace the Italians working at those companies taken over by the Chinese and have them manned by thousands of Chinese nationals allowed to be brought in to work there.
The way this whole thing developed starting with the Italian fashion industry areas controlled by the Chinese commies hit by a runaway CCWV (Chinese Communist Wuhan Virus) breakout occurred in Wuhan the politburo closed off Wuhan but did not warn the Italian Socialist government or the Pope with whom the Chinese government had good relations with.
But certainly violated it when the socialists should have been informed and allowed to deny those Chinese workers who replaced Italians in those factories taken over by the Chinese, travel to and from China particularly for their New Year while this was occurring. Which Trump did with the exception of only allowing American citizens returning.
Which affected workers at the Chinese owned Smithfield Pork Processing and had the China backer US media charging racism but may have prevented an Italy from happening here .
It strikes me as peculiar that Italy almost seems to be have been targeted with being the major European country with the most reports of this disease. Let US pray that misguided; immigration, Islam, and climate bridge builder Pope Francis gets a Colonel Boggie moment ( the lead character in the movie Bridge On The River Qwai played by Alex Guinness) and does a mea culpa and finally decides to question the results of what he’s done what he’s done and falls on the detonator which destroys the bridges he built) and resigns.
He wants the US borders to disappear so hordes of non-productive people can march in and take whatever they want from the ones who worked hard to acquire something.
