Joe Biden visibly depends on the teleprompter to get through speeches, questions and answers, and interviews. The editors of the New York Post comment in “Why is Joe Biden addicted to reading his handlers’ scripts?” Biden has a half a mind to read his lines, as soon as they scroll up before him.
Biden is enough with it to look for the answer to a scripted question on a teleprompter in a virtual event with the instruction “Move it up here.” Biden can call for the answer and read the answer fed to him, but does so in the clip below in a weirdly dissociated fashion. Biden was laboring in honor of Labor Day.
RedState’s Nick Arama places the clip “in context” in “Worn Out Biden Short Circuits Yet Again, Struggles to Get Thru Interview Question During Virtual Event.”. How fake can you get? It reminds me of the old Soviet joke on their economy: “We pretend to work and they pretend to pay us.”

What may be happening here (and on other virtual sessions)-- he needs the teleprompter *because an aide is typing in what the response should be.* The virtual equivalent of using an IFB, but being *told* what to say wouldn't really work, so why not read the answer in real time?

For this reason, I continue to believe that somehow, some way Team Biden will pull out of the debates. The race is too close for him to risk an embarrassing meltdown, and the chances of that are about 95%.
All of us around here are pretty partisan folks and definitely have plenty of political bias.
However, there is no denying that there is something wrong with Joe Biden. Everyone sees it - even many democrats.
You cannot “hide” as a candidate for President and voters expect to see you perform “off the cuff” and defend your policy positions. We are really not getting that from Biden and the media cannot cover it up.
The suggestion or advice to him to avoid debating Trump is indicative that they have little confidence in him. His necessity for a teleprompter and vetted questions illustrates the same. While I agree with others that we should not set the bar “too low”, there is definitely a “bar” and right now he is not meeting it.

Obama never lifted a pinkie finger to develop a viable candidate for POTUS...period. He loves himself too much to do something basic like that!!! As for Kamala Harris, the Biden flawed, gem for VP...all I can say is God help us...she is a 100% loser & dummy to boot!!

He reminded me there of the classic comedy sketches of an old man by Tim Conway on The Carol Burnett Show.
If Biden goes to the debates, he might get the questions & answers ahead of time, but there will be no prompter.
Maybe an earpiece, but that might become obvious.
Steve Hilton played a few day old clip, and now this. Joe has dementia, the debates are going to sink him. Oh, that and the October vaccine.
I won’t be a bit surprised to hear that Joe gets sick with CoVid from being out and about, then has to miss the debates because of it, and miraculously recovers just in time for the election.
It’s hardly any different than Hillary getting questions ahead of time, from her friend Donna.

Joe is hardly the most intelligent anything and never was- HE couldn’t find his own a%# with a map... so how messed up is THAT?
If he does show up for a debate, they need to see if he is wearing an earbud being fed answers. (Or jam it with static.)
