The Stars have lost customers over their support of Black Lives Matter and protests over racial inequality, president and CEO Brad Alberts said Friday afternoon.
But we/I stand by our organizations commitment and support our players 100% to express their views, Alberts said.
When asked which customers the team has lost, Alberts said season-ticket holders, and that it was a mix of individual and company accounts. He did not disclose specific names. Alberts said no advertisers have pulled funding.

If you’re a season ticket holder, you MUST be a racist!
Nowadays, you can express your opinion at work, of course, if you’re a fat, purple-haired Marxist with a nose ring.
At least the pink stuff was for a worthy cause (breast cancer). Supporting the Marxist BLM is way out of bounds.
THAT sort of thing, I suspect, has cropped up throughout human history. (Some) chicks dig jerks.
College and Pro athletes can express their personal racist views on their own time.
Stop doing so on the employers’ and fans’ time!!
These demonstrations are losing fans and hurting the franchises.
Me too. I thought they were a basketball collective
The only sport I followed was NASCAR. I was a serious fan. A few months ago, I sent the CEO a letter detailing why I am no longer a fan.
Last night I was flipping channels and a Cup race was on. Went right on by.
I found a side channel called MAVTV on Pluto TV. They run all kinds of minor league racing. ARCA, Modified, Sprint cars and destructo derby races.
“Recently, the CEO of Papa Johns said that a lot of the CEOs are caving into the pressure to show support for BLM.”
He was one of the CEOs that caved. No Papa Johns pizza for us since then. There are at least three alternatives locally.
If he leaked the names of companies or individuals, there is a fair chance liberal bullies would attack them in person or online for refusing to support and sit through BLM crap.
I was early teens :) I did have the joy of introducing my nephews now nearly 20 and 18 to the Stars. Our tradition was the Friday after Thanksgiving. I miss that with them and my niece will not get to experience it because I won’t take her after all this.
Modano didn’t know he was the love of my life. I have trading cards and multiple sweaters with his name. Best of all, he sign my sweater while I was wearing it. You want to talk about a fan girl moment for me.
