On an extraordinary day for the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks boycotted Game 5 of their playoff series against the Orlando Magic in protest at the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
ESPN later reported that Wednesday’s other two playoff games – between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets; and the Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Lakers – had also been postponed. The games are expected to be rescheduled for a later date.

I honestly didn’t know there were any NBA playoff games going on. And I honestly don’t care.
Pass the 40, brotha.
Or...they know that the TV ratings have tanked and this is a convenient way to avoid miserable TV ratings. Just don’t play and claim its for racial justice.
I suspect the players have been offered guaranteed pay to participate in this crap.
Somehow, NFL, NBA etc have been assured that no amount of lowered ratings or attendance will effect them whatsoever.

Professional Sports, otherwise known as Games in the Roman civilization, really embodied the ultimate degradation of the culture of Rome. The United States has the opportunity to shed its cultural rot of watching professional athletes do nothing of cultural significance for our society, instead of letting it completely destroy us. We have that chance right now, but probably won’t take it.
I wonder if any of these former “student athletes” have any clue about how they’re killing the golden goose.
