The Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority read a letter Tuesday during the public comment of a Board of Directors meeting calling for the removal of City Councilwoman Michele Fiore.

Fiore, a Republican, has been sued over developments at a northwest valley park, has been run out of her Mayor Pro Tem role on the city council after allegedly saying "white lives matter" at a political event and a complaint has been reportedly filed with the Federal Elections Commission against her for allegedly using city funds to campaign for President Donald Trump.

A spokesperson sent News 3 Councilwoman Fiore's statement:

“The Expel Michele group will not be distracting me from the important work of the LVCVA. While they continue their frivolous recall work, I will be continuing to work hard for the betterment of the City of Las Vegas. Regarding the NAACP, Roxanne McCoy clearly acts with bias and animosity towards republican officials, she insights division, and obviously does not have respect for the historic and important mission of the NAACP. Her history of being arrested for defrauding senior citizens with mortgage lending fraud is one highlight of her egregious behavior.
