Marjorie Taylor Greene's path to Congress has been strewn with controversy. Politico dug up her history of disparaging Black people and Muslims. She's unapologetic about the anti-Semitic tropes she has used to describe George Soros.
But it's another kind of extremism that drew the spotlight to Greene's victory Tuesday in the Republican primary runoff in Georgia: She has promoted the conspiracy theory QAnon, or Q.
The baseless QAnon conspiracy sprang from right-wing message boards in 2017. Those who buy into it think President Trump is leading a secret war against Satan-worshiping pedophiles in the deep state. They believe a figure known only as Q is helping – and leaving encrypted messages for "digital soldiers" of the movement to decode.
The watchdog group Media Matters for America counts 19 congressional candidates with links to QAnon who will be on the ballot in November. Many are long shots. But not Greene, whose primary win in a deep red House district means she's all but assured a seat in Congress. Greene has embraced the QAnon conspiracy in a series of social media posts in recent years.

That’s a great description. I do find it hilarious that this crowd fancies themselves as ferreting out the “truth” when they don’t exhibit the least inkling about how critical thinking works.

all of what you just said are not in the Q posts but are the stuff posted from other conspiracies that individuals have who latched on to the movement have. big problem with anything dealing with conspiracies’ is that most of what you find is smoke that is setup to obscure the truth. A lot of the information that you now believe about the abuses of the Obbama administration started being released on the Q posts. cant speak to tom hanks being a Pedo but can say that there is a lot of smoke on the internet about him that come from research not tied to Q posts. The JFK junior stuff is crazzy and does not come from the Q posts in fact at one point the Q informed everyone that to the best of his knowledge john junior died in a plane crash.
the reason why you get all this crazzy stuff tied to the posts is That there is no leadership and anyone can claim anything about the posts. Also everyone fallowing the post has been told by Q to look into things and research the news find the sources of info and the story not being told.
A lot of people don’t understand the difference between opinion and fact this leads to a lot of bad research in the name of Q. Combine this with a lot of individuals trolling in an attempt to discredit and you get the CAOS of Q
At the mention of Q any thread eventually devolves into UFO/chemtrails nonsense.

Well I'm just asking if the press WANTS to hurt him why not ask him about Q? If it's this fringe wacko theory on par with the others how come the press isn't pounding him every day? Why don't they say "Q people say that someone in your administration is q? Is this true Mr. President"?
It's a win win for the press if they ask this. Number 1 if he denies it he's just lost the q crowd. If he confirms it he's a nut. So why not ask him?
