Seems a bit drastic, what prevents them to at least look at an amended 10 game Spring season? March 20th start, one week off after game five. The Season ends on May 29th. Bowl games on June 12th or 19th. Call it a year with none of the Playoff BS. Just let the AP / Coaches Poll declare the National Champion just like they did 22 years ago.
I've had the same thought. I once hoped I'd be able from on high to watch all the great ongoings on planet earth for ever. If that happens to be true, I'm not sure I could bear to watch it.
On a similar wave length; have you ever calculated the very best era/years to live ? I submit it was shortly after WW2 until approximately now, so we did well living in unequalled freedom and convenience and medicine that we have. Now, I hope to make it to see DjT in stone on Rushmore.
Obama recalculated my desired checkout time, but DjT reversed most everything he did and so provided a few more years of smiles.
Have at it.
I went to UAB. Trust me when I say, “you can go without football for a year or Two.”
Breaking! The Big Ten turns into the Little ten.
I hope the SEC doesn’t turn into viginas too.

The best path to wealth for these kneeling BLMers is quickly going the way of the buggy whip. Polish those rap skills, guys.
Well said, FRiend, and I agree re our having shared in America’s ‘golden age’.
Does anyone think these “student”-athletes will use this time to knock out a few classes?
Exactly what I said. 100% they deserve it
Yea but the after effects... are Hell.... so much unknown still,
We know a lot about the virus after 20 million cases worldwide including 5 million in the US. Complications after recovery are relatively rare. Most people show mild or no symptoms and dont require hospitalization. Fatality rates are approaching those experienced in a bad flu season. 43% of deaths have occurred in nursing homes/LTC facilities. 83% of all deaths are people 65 and older.
Not a chance, too much money at stake. It’s a lot harder dealing with college kids as opposed to professionals.
A shame. And democrats WILL try to blame it on Trump in a desperate attempt to cleave his base from him.
I read an article in a sports mag years ago, before the internet, from a famous coach that had come from the college universe and was in the NFL universe now, and he said the exact opposite. He said college kids were easy to deal with because they looked up to you and did whatever you told them to do. They had MS and HS coaches that were iron fisted dictators and expected no different from the college coaches. Whereas the ADULT players in the NFL were argumentative and had their own agendas and their own ideas about how to run plays and what plays to run and who to cover and not cover, showing up late for practice or not showing up at all, showing up drunk or under the influence and being an all around pain in the ass to other players, etc.......
