I was watching the Bruins yesterday. The sign at the top of the center ice scoreboard - “Skating for Black Lives”. I turned off the TV and went outside. Screw that...

They Flyers were playing well before the pause...they are possessed now.
My son told me they were playing the Habs. I told him I hated Montreal - he asked why, and I said one word: Chelios
Hextall was da bomb.

The LVGN look fast and possessed. Along with the Flyers, they are playing at a different level than the rest. Now that it counts for the round robin teams, we will see what happens. I didn’t think anyone would beat a healthy Avalanche, but they didn’t look as good as expected either.

Agreed...I was just allowing my Delco snark to leak out...
Being an old goalie myself, Hexy was my second favorite player right after
Bernie Parent...though I may have to get a Carter Hart jersey if that kid
keeps playing as well as he has...

Go UD!
I know why they fired Hextall, but I wish they'd kept him. He was the last heart and soul of that Bullies mindset. That's said, if Hart (who is really good especially for his age) et al keep it up, Lord Stanley will look be in Philly again. Fingers crossed,

Next season isn’t scheduled to start until December. Still, shorter time off.

GMTA. I will never order Heineken because I know someone will yell that line from across the bar (I also don’t like Heineken and not because of the movie).

Flyers are young and fast. Hart is a quality goaltender.
I’m a Penguins fan so naturally I detest Philly.
But they are looking good for the future.

No doubt. Saw your post and had to find it on Youtube. Dennis Hopper made that movie entertaining, and 35 years later, like you, I still hear that line often when someone orders a Heineken, or skunk beer as we used to call it. Of course, finding PBR in a bar today ain't easy. I thought Miller discontinued it but my dad says he can still find it. Makes him happy, especially in long neck bottles.

Thanks for posting that. I had no idea. Did the Pens deliberately tank it to get a top pick as they did in '84? I've gotta wonder now.
To: airborne
That and I think they have the right coach. I was surprised that the Pens
folded like they did, but I guess the fire wasn't there. Growing up in the 70's
and 80's, I just felt bad for the Pens...I don't remember the Flyers losing to
them until I was a young adult. It was the Rangers and Bruins that I grew up
disliking. That of course has changed since Crosby came along...great
player, but hard to like unless you're a Pens fan.
