Joe Biden has given two dates to pick his running mate.
First, he said he hoped to make the choice by August 1.
When that deadline slipped, he promised he'd reveal his pick in the first week of August.
We're still waiting.
So what's going on with Biden and his VP pick? Here's what we know.
When will Biden make his pick?
We just don't know for sure.
We've only got the two confirmed dates out of Biden, and both of those have passed.
The Democratic Convention - the big song and dance where Biden officially becomes the nominee - will be held from August 17-20.
It'd be unprecedented if Biden didn't finalise the choice before then, which means most pundits are expecting him to make the decision sometime in the next week.
Why has he taken so long?
The entire 2020 race has been upended because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Timelines that were considered "normal" have been tossed out the window.

Heh, Delaware. I know the standard two letter abbreviation is DE, but in context, Whitmer did travel to Delaware.
Maybe some thought should be put into the role Jill Biden will play. She is the natural handler for Joe Biden at this point.
There does not seem to be much information on her, other than she is interestingly similar in appearance to Christina Blasey Ford.
At this point I am thinking Joe is totally under her control and she will need to be on board with who is picked.
Lastly our country needs to pray for the Biden’s to repent. Concentrating prayer on confounding the Jezebel spirit in their family and running rampant in American society.

Actually, I think there is a power struggle BETWEEN wannabe handlers.
Most people don't know as many Democrats as I do. There has been a low level civil war between Clintonites and Obama people for more than a decade.
Like most civil wars, fat times (2009-2017) suppress conflict, lean times bring out the knives.
Just as Trump did not anticipate COVID and had to reinvent his campaign, the same is true of the Democrats. If things in February were as they are now, Biden wouldn't be the nominee, he'd be in a nursing home. But when COVID exploded, and by the time the Democrats realized that everything would be different in the Fall, it was too late.
This is why Susan Rice, natural born citizen of the permanent government, has surged to the fore.
She's the unity candidate. She's BOTH a Clintonista AND an Obamatron. She's much too privileged to fully adopt a BLM - Year Zero program when she becomes President, but she CAN and she WILL destroy the stupid "Trump-black voter" plan.
It's taking so long because the people who were planning to run a very implausible "Biden administration" are being pushed out by a group that now believes they can actually win and take power, and neither side has won yet.

Biden has nothing to do with the process. He can’t f’n can’t tell his daughter from his wife. What’s going on is a power struggle between the various factions in the Democrat Party. It’s a glorious thing to watch too, each side pushing their loser. But the main thing is that they’re all f’n losers.
I agree, Rice is the safer choice, but Kamila is (or was LOL) better looking and might do sexual favors for creepy Joe.. so it’s a tuff call!
