I love watching the US creep ahead on tests per capita.

On Worldometer Friday is always the highest day of the week for new cases.

Compared to last Friday’s numbers, new cases are down and thus so is the seven day running average.

Nobody is buying it.

They are at least twice what the US is per capita.

Tests do nothing to stop spread of covid-19.
Because travel of infected millions of people is impossible to stop in a large and mobile country like ours.

Only way any virus dies out is INFECTIONS. 97% covid-19 infections are Asymptomatic meaning mild symptoms and no hospitalization needed. Those 97% acquire short term immunity lasting several months.

Keep spreading Asymptomatic infections and pretty soon virus runs out of people without immunity, and it disappears. Asymptomatic infections work just like a good vaccine. It immunizes the person from future serious infection.

Shutting down any community or isolation of groups of people is the absolute worst thing. Because then you are depriving people to acquire immunity.

Of course the extremely vulnerable group (obese, over 65 old, diabetics, cancer patients etc) are the ONLY people who need to be shuttered up and isolated. Let the rest roam freely, which is 97% of work force, students etc.

I completely understand all that, but I still like seeing the US creep towards number one in the tests per capita.

Bingo! But truth is not the intent here. It has become political with one person in mind--our president. This is the continuing coup against him. The dinosaur press will have to answer for this.

We are here, "truth" has become whatever the media opposition and RATS declare it to be, and moving the goal posts to justify their position. FU Rats.

We are here: “If there are no absolutes by which to judge society, then society is absolute.” Francis Schaeffer, How Shall We Then Live? (Old Tappan NJ: Fleming H Revell Company, 1976), p. 224.

surprised Sky UK even published this:

8 Aug: Sky UK(Comcast): Coronavirus: For every three COVID-19 deaths, lockdown may have caused another two
For every three deaths caused by coronavirus, there were another two caused by the impact of the lockdown, a report says.
By Tom Rayner
The new report says a reluctance to attend A&E and difficulties accessing medical assistance likely meant that for every three deaths from coronavirus itself, a further two occurred because of the wider impact of the lockdown.
The findings provide a possible explanation for the prime minister’s recent claim that another full national lockdown would only be considered as a “nuclear option”...

The estimates, made by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and analysts from several government departments, suggest there were 38,500 excess deaths in England connected to COVID-19 between March and 1 May.
However, the report concludes 41% of those deaths were the result of missed medical care rather than the virus itself.
Of the 16,000 deaths, the paper estimates 6,000 were as a result of a “significant reduction in A&E attendances and emergency admissions”...

Overall the analysis estimates there could be a total of 81,500 non-coronavirus excess deaths over the next 50 years as a result of longer waiting times for non-urgent elective care, as well as increased deprivation resulting from a deep recession.
The document was presented to the government’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) last month, but was only released on Friday.

Primary good news is the (inflated) new case curve peaked a couple/few weeks ago and now the death curve is following suit.

The only somewhat trustable thing that has any meaning is not even the death count which is inflated, but the death trend ... and are there any major places left in the US that it still hasn't burned through? If not, then we should I think NOT expect anywhere to get hit hard twice.

Probably 70% or 80% are already immune not with specific covid antibodies but with prior corona-knowledgeable TCells, and we were well on the way to herd immunity in fact 15 years ago and more.

Thanks for the link.

Yeah, someone is going to get fired for letting this info out! Absolutely hurts the Fake News, Marxist narrative!

This shutdown should’ve never happened! How many people had delayed cancer diagnosis that cost them their lives? How many people lost everything they had? How many people killed themselves out of utter despair? This is why I resent wearing these ridiculous masks that do Absolutely NOTHING! I truly fu*king hate politicians and our lying Fake News for pushing this bug as a pandemic!

With a growing number of states with mandatory masks and compliance - the numbers just aren’t coming down. Masks don’t work. The numbers are being artificially inflated... and treatement for those with symptoms is being intentnioanlly delayed, causing unnecessary deaths.

I wouldn’t believe China if they told me water is wet.

They lie, cheat, and steal to gain advantage. They have no morals. They don’t care about anyone but themselves. They will stand by and watch their own people die en masse; why would they care how their behavior affects anyone else?

US mortality rate weighed against confirmed cases below 4% accounting for incubation.

Was 6% about a month ago.

Situation is definitely improving.

Tests are useless in USA. They may work in a smaller country to isolate infected people.

But that is completely missing the point. If our God given brain is put to use, it becomes clear that what vaccination does is inject you with a weakened form of virus and use the body’s response to create anti-bodies to prevent future infections.

Since covid-19 is largely asymptomatic in healthy young people (say age 60 and under) best way to kill covid-19 is all these healthy young people to GET Asymptomatic or mild INFECTIONS. That works better than a vaccine by creating anti-bodies (and T-cells or whatever).

If we further use our God given brain, and observe what happened in NY City, was that it had the highest infections. And death rates for vulnerable people. The young healthy people in NY city did not perish. They acquired immunity. Which easily explains why NY city now has dwindling deaths from covid-19. Almost everyone in NYC has acquired short term immunity.
