Daughter (17 y/o ) Felt sick for 3 days, sleeping all day, had her tested and it came up positive. Probably Caught it at a lacrosse tournament. Weird we have to quarantine her in her own house. Looking into Hydroxychloroquine and no one will touch it. I live in a Baltimore suburb. Everything gets real when it hits home like this
Tell your daughters doctor to prescribe HCQ or you will sue him. If all else fails tell your own doctor that you believe you were exposed to malaria.
Theyll prescribe it for that.
In the interim, Quercetin, zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C.
Prayers sent
Prayers for your daughter and her full and speedy recovery !
I have a friend from NYC that had it. Standard flu protocol for recovery.

Not good, but not necessarily bad - my cousin of about 65 years of age had it and fared well.
Does she have symptoms? I hope she’s fairly young. If so, she’ll do pretty well most likely.
I second the recommendation - Quercetin and a Zinc supplement. I do not fully know the effectiveness of Quercetin, but it has some promising research in its favor.
Got to add, vitamin C and D. C is prevalent in a lot of foods, but D is more elusive. Sunlight is a good source, as is milk and some shellfish. A supplement to be safer.
And yeah, as others said, HCQ is effective, along with Zinc and wide-spectrum antibiotic for secondary infections.
Thanks she is 17, strong and healthy
Thank you and thanks for your prayers
Interesting. Your situation goes back to last Christmas. Did you ever get tested to see if you had the antibodies?
2 weeks in April.
Thank you for the prayers
Whatever you do, do not ask for medical advice on message boards. Including this one. Hope she feels better soon.
Thank you for your prayers
I, an adult son and a grandson 19 years old. Probably had this crud From pre Thanksgiving to New Years.
Serendipity: I had blood in my urine and got a Quinolone po drug for 10 days. The doctor told me not to take advil since I have a FIB and I’m on blood thinners so no advil. I was put on a new Cpap machine for sleep apnea during my ordeal. That like the Quinolone may have been some really good luck coincidences
I had aches all over, a low fever and zero sense of smell and minimal appetite.
My son had much less temp and was put on bed rest and also Zero Advil, his normal drug of choice for flu and body aches. Bed rest rxed for both of us. His sense of smell was zero and minimal appetite. He was told to drink a lot of fluids and to eat small amounts. He ODed on Quinine water.
The grandson had milder symptoms and was told to eat, drink and get bed rest. He was basically over his crud in less than a week.
None of our female relatives had any problems from Grandparent to adults and to teen grand kids.
This was happening from last pre Thanksgiving into the new year. Supposedly, then, no one knew anything about this virus.
However, looking back, there were apparently some docs who had an inkling of what was happening with their patients. My son and I have the same FP at our big hmo.
Turn off the AC and open all the windows in your home if the family must stay in the home with her. COVID is airborne regardless of what anyone else may say. And a mask is useless to protect those not already sick.
Slept all day, no energy, Congested but no fever. Appetite has been good
You can contact Dr Z and get help finding a Telemed doc who will prescribe HCQ and help you get it delivered
It is disgraceful that Lockdown Larry has an intimidated health and pharmacy board that interferes in patient choices. Lockdown Larry coulc get HCQ...in fact hes an obese cancer survivor so he would need it to save his life.
Folks have mentioned quercetin to take with zinc to get it into the cells.
Green tea is another zinc ionophore!
Also Grapefruit peel is another source of quinine...you can make your own syrup from the peel and add it to tonic water with natural cranberry juice ( also has quinine)...look up grapefruit quinine recipes online.Grapefruit is a great virus killer.
Since it is early stage look up the Vitamin D3 hammer- a large dose you take for a few days, then taper off. I know what Id give my kid but you decide for yours.
Also megadose on Vit C, like 2-4,000 Iu
So Vit D3, Vit C, Zinc 50-100 mg, green tea, quercetin, natural quinine boosted tonic water, NAC (look it up, very good for chest)
Fatigue and Tight chest? Monitor pulse ox at home, doc can advise. May prescribe nebulizer inhaled steroid ...watch this guy. You can call him

Ditto what someone said on the zinc quercetin, vitamin D with K2 (k2 helps the D absorb better) and vitamin c. There is a local doc who is treating his patients with nebulizes budesonide.
Your daughter will more than likely be okay with bed rest, sunshine and fresh air.
Make sure your air filters are clean or new.
Then make sure she doesn’t over do it when she feels better.
