Nishi Uggalle, the latest crowned champion of Channel 4s Child Genius show, is believed to possess an IQ higher than Einsteins. Impressive as it sounds for a 12-year-old winning a junior Mastermind programme, but does the comparison with the infamous physicist actually mean anything? And how seriously should we consider IQ (intelligence quotient) as a benchmark of a persons intellectual capacity?
The most notable issue is that nobody knows what Albert Einsteins IQ was because he never took the test. It is presumed he would have an IQ score of over 160.

I would like a challenge with you on:
(1) IQ test
(2) Game of chess
(3) 18 holes of Golf
(4) Write an algorithm to sort numbers in descending order
(5) Perform 2nd derivatives in calculus
(6) Tune up a car and replace all filters
(7) Replace water pump in the car
(8) Install 5 ceiling fans and 3 wall mounted TV’s
(9) Solve 2 quadratic equations
(10) One full set of Tennis
I think I can beat you in all 10 because I have done them all. In chess & golf you have no chance at all. Others I will give you benefit of doubt.
You, Sir, may move to the front of the class!
It means you are having less sex than Einstein did.
But....if you HAVE common sense AND high IQ,
you can beat all others.
I did not know I had both when I worked as a mechanical engineer designing and manufacturing heavy impact machinery.
Looking back, while others got laid off of fired, every time I gave 2 weeks notice, the company would give me another raise. Damm I must have been good when I was young. LOL.
From personal experience, if one has a degree in mechanical engineering, has common sense, and has high IQ, one becomes highly successful. I did not know how good I was during my working years. But looking back, while colleagues got fired or laid off, every time I gave 2 weeks notice, the company gave me another raise. It was getting ridiculous. At age 46, I gave another notice and just left for a government job. I was frankly burned out, and was looking for an easy way to slide into retirement with huge benefits. And it worked!
If I were 40 years younger I would probably beat you in 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, and 10.
I have done 6 and 7 numerous times and installed a ceiling fan and a single wall mounted TV.
I am almost certain I would beat you in 10.
Being close to 82, you win every challenge.
and 75% stealing Tesla’s ideas.
There is also so much more to being intelligent than having a high IQ. Having a great memory probably is more important than the actual IQ. If you have a great memory, you can speed along your ability learn more than somebody who is more intelligent, but does not have a great memory.
I think being able to keep many facts in your memory simultaneously - in other words, having a great short-term memory - is very important in problem solving (and probably in IQ as well).
Thank God that he found the tumor. So glad to have you around!

This reminds me of a scene in “Independence Day,” where the guy who plays a White House top level person says, “I’m not Jewish.” When they were praying. The Judd Hirsch character says, “Nobody’s perfect.” LOL!
Even Einstein must have had faults.
No.... : )
You are being a smart azz : )
Thanks for the tip, EEGator!
Do you live in Florida? Lots of gators there.
True enough. I even said that to someone yesterday. I said, God gives everyone different things.
Of course, we were just talking about hair. Straight versus curly. I had long thick curly brown hair and my sister had straight brown hair.
We each wanted each other’s hair. LOL!
Well, my IQ must be lower than yours because I don’t know what you mean. LOL!
Please tell me!
I lived in Jacksonville, Cocoa Beach, and Gainesville for 14 years.
I’m just outside of Philly now.
Jesus’s IQ?
Infinite.
I mean, what is the biggest question?
#20 I do not know which half of average I am on....
Ditto that. The handful of people I have encountered that let it be known that they were Mensa were both arrogant and lazy. Not a winning combination.
