Donald Trump just got the biggest betting odds convention bounce in history, and the convention just ended last night.
That follows the net 0 polling bounce for Joe Biden, which is the weakest for a Democratic convention since 1972.

Gov. Newsom Announces ‘Twindemic,’ and Increased COVID Testing into March 2021

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday announced a “Twindemic” will be upon us soon with COVID and flu season in the fall, and a new partnership with PerkinElmer, Inc. a diagnostic company, to build a laboratory within the state, and ramp up COVID-19 testing. This announcement came on the heels of the Center for Disease Control announcement that it no longer recommends testing people without symptoms.
“This will not be the policy of the state of CA,” Newsom Tweeted.
“California is increasing its #COVID19 testing capacity ahead of the upcoming flu season,” the governor Tweeted. And for those unsure when this business lockdown and mask-wearing will ever end in California, Gov. Newsom said “the goal is to stand up a laboratory facility and begin processing tens of thousands of additional tests by November 1 and run at full capacity by no later than March 1, 2021.”
So Newsom is making up his own rules, and has thrown out even pretending to “trust the science”.
How long can a Governor enact an emergency order? How can he keep people under “emergency” when the scamdemic has subsided & the statistics do not warrant emergency status? Surely there must be some criteria that a governor has to meet before he can declare an emergency?
The CDC has just reversed this, gub.
LA Mayor Garcetti Denounces New CDC COVID-19 Testing Standards

On Wednesday, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti temporarily went against new U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and announced during a press conference that everyone who wants a COVID-19 test should get one.
Earlier this week, the CDC had announced new testing guidelines which included a recommendation that people who are not showing symptoms do not need a test, even if someone close to them had COVID-19. While CDC officials announced the retraction some of that advice on Thursday, it still has not been officially changed and is still listed on the CDC’s website, indicating that the new advice might still stay in place.
During the press conference, Mayor Garcetti specifically pointed out the new part of the recommendations, expressing that those who don’t show COVID-19 symptoms should still get tested.
“Today 1,168 Angelenos, still a very large number, are in the hospital,” said the Mayor. “But it is 1,000 fewer patients compared to five weeks ago. We’re headed in the right direction.”
OK. I obviously missed that one.
