Still have gusty winds, not much rain now.
Damage reports coming in from the west and north of us.
Dover, our state capital, 45 minutes to the northwest of us, got hit—lots of damage and downed poles.
Hurricanes usually skirt us on our east side—very rarely do we have a hurricane come right over us in DE.
Last one was Hurricane Irene in 2011. The storm’s eye went right over our house in Georgetown—that was eerie. Went out and could see straight up at night to the stars. A half hour of calm and then BAM! The second half of the storm hit.
So far, power has stayed on- a few flickers though.

God is good - no problems here except for a lot of rain!
Wind was mild compared to other hurricanes.

Thank you..Had solar jars to pick up from the yard and put on the deck for when the sun comes out. Then on with regular morning cat chores. Resting now.
Drinking lots of water since I’m on the new medicine in place of my regular allergy pill. Just for precaution. Quercetin..couldnt think of the name. Zinc 50mg is to be delivered today.
How are you today Jessi? Still grey and cloudy here but not as hot as it was thankfully. Take care and have a good day.
