I have received no mail for six days. I just phone the Postmaster and he said he has received maybe ten calls today.
This is a rural route.
He does not know why but they are only getting a third or fourth as much mail as they usually do.
Was hoping for that one - good work
[ In reality there is no way the USPS could prepare for the actual mail volume that would be involved if the election were handled with 100% mail in ballots as the Democrats would like. There is little to no chance that they could even handle the volume of mail, since they would have tens of millions of extra pieces of first class mail all of which had to arrive by Nov 3rd. ]
Another way for Democrats to try and steal an election.
[I have some junk mail you can have]
I got some Pantene in my junk mail.
Well, there really is no such thing as junk mail.
Do I smell?
Pantene!!!

They're sat in front of white boards and the like, and given assignments (maybe) that are researched and printed out from on line sources.
The three R's no longer exist, nor is history, geography, civics and Americanism
Watch TV and listen to FOX .... they're all a bunch of Marxists.
An obviously sexist complaint, I demand to know if the person has been ignoring any femail he may have received?
We have had an important piece of time-sensitive first class mail sent to us near Tucson AZ from Nashville TN almost a month ago and it has not yet arrived.
The United States Postal Service has become a disgrace and deserves to be eliminated. There should be private sources allowed to compete for mail receipt and delivery. We should have several competitive options available to us to send mail.
If we have to pay $2 for a piece of mail to be delivered on a timely basis by a competitive and competent carrier, so be it.
There is NO EXCUSE for the incompetence of the USPS.
A lot of mail is VERY important to be delivered quickly.
LOL...Welcome to mail-in ballots.
I mailed a small priority package to my son on Tuesday July 21st. It was supposed to get there on Friday, but this past Monday (July 27th), it still hadn't arrived. Tracking said it was still in transit, but it didn't show it leaving my local post office yet. On Tuesday I went to the USPS website, and inquired about the package. At the same time I signed up for text/email updates, which I'd never had to use before, because the packages always got there when they were supposed to. Later on Tuesday I got a response from USPS telling me that the package had been accepted at my local postoffice, but hadn't been forwarded to a distribution center, and told me I should take it up with my local post office. I printed up the notice to take with me the next day, but then a few hours later, I got another update, telling me that the package would be delivered the next day...Wednesday, July 29th. Then yesterday, I got an update that it had been delivered. I'm still waiting for my son to let me know that he got it okay.
Warm8ng up for a mail-based election.
Just curious, many times at our local post office, I have noticed a huge line waiting and many workers notice it and just keep walking. Do you think they slow-walk the work? I know that money spent in wages is astronomical. What is the real problem? Is there any incentive to actually get all the work done in the scheduled hours/per/day?

This is what Trump was talking about. This was the ONLY reason Trump had about the idea to delay the election. Valid point.
I live in Rome, New York. We have three clerks, but not all of them are open all the time. They close down for lunch, or if they are working on something else. The lines have been too long to stand and wait for a clerk, so I’ve been using the kiosk in the lobby, so I don’t wear a mask. This past Tuesday when I went in to use the machine, the line was way out into the lobby. The lines are usually long there to begin with so it always looks like its Christmas, with people mailing out last-minute packages.
Yep. I’d claim the Democrats have operatives in the U.S. Mail System doing a work-slow-down but that would be, like, a nut-job tinfoil conspiracy.
I’m sure the Democrats are all about fair elections. The Easter Bunny told me so!

USPS has been sending me exception text messages for days on the progress, but there is no transit status to be updated, so theres no idea where the package is, now.”
I also had a package lost in limbo for a week in LA then like magic it appeared and was once again on its way from NC to Albuquerque then on to my PO. Why it had to go through LA is a mystery. So there must be bins and bins of mail going into the big regional centers and just sitting around until someone decides to process it.
They are passively/aggressively protesting the loss of overtime pay by dragging their feet even more than usual.

Huge line at a local post office on a Saturday many years ago. Two workers. About 15 people in line.
One walked off for her break. I mean, I know you gotta take it at some point. Maybe a third person called in that day.
I wish. I hate my weekly visit to my box to throw everything away.
He had a Real I.D.!
Also a big part of the problem is Amazon using the US mail carriers to deliver for China and I bet it is getting priority over our domestic mail. On top of that UPS orders are now often routed through US Mail now for “last mile” delivery. I hate that. Makes it take twice as long. I always pay extra for UPS second day air now to avoid going postal!

The machine in our lobby has been broken for months. I have started using UPS to send packages.
A small complaint too, every time while waiting in line, there is a glad enclosed area where the newest stamps are on display, inevitably the stamps I request are out of stock. Maybe they shouldnt display them if you cannot buy any. Most recently I asked for the Moon Landing stamps and couldnt get any, yet the sheet on those stamps is still on display.
