Despite the novel coronavirus having thrown Hollywood productions and ceremonies into disarray, the Emmy Awards will still be held this September, albeit in some altered form. The television academy tapped Saturday Night Live alum Leslie Jones to host the nominations announcement Tuesday morning, for which she will be joined virtually by presenters Laverne Cox, Josh Gad and Tatiana Maslany.

“Wokemen” was one of the worst shows of the year. Its flat out hate Trump, hate Republicans. Script is juvenile and low IQ.
Who cares?
Watchmen got cancelled after the first season. It never hit a million viewers for any of its 9 episodes. How could it be nominated? I’m glad I never watched it.
Wokemen is extremely woke. About halfway thru the season Watchmen fans left the show because it was so bad and had nothing to do with the comic, but were replaced by woke viewers.
The Emmys watch paint dry.
“Watchmen” is pure hate speech—vicious racist anti-white propaganda.
I wonder if this show is up for an Emmy.
Does anybody really give a rat’s azz about the Emmys, Oscars and all the rest of these “we love ourselves” awards?
The Fraud is overdue for an award from Netflix.
I cut the cable years ago. I don’t watch this crap....wonder how many do. I do feel bad for live theatre. The Left is truly a cancer.
I was in Captain Ds and they had one of those entertainment news shows on. Alec Baldwin got an Emmy nom for his hateful depiction of President Trump, presumably on SNL. Rewarded for the agenda, as usual.
watchman is the worst raciat dreck i’ve seen produced on tv, ever
Yep, pure garbage.
It was so bad that they canceled it.
Watchmen was really good. Built on the comics really well. Good story. Well acted. Not exactly mass appeal. But that’s OK.
No. It was done as one season. Lindelof said before it came out he had 1 story idea. 1 season. He’s open to the possibility of something if he thinks of it, but he wanted no obligation to find one. And nominations have nothing to do with popularity. Good is good, popular’s got nothing to do with it.
Thanks for the info. I’m glad I decided not to watch it. By the time I looked into watching it, I saw that there would be no season 2 so I decided not to even bother. And I clearly recall reading that it was cancelled, and not because it was supposed to have been a limited series. I keep track of upcoming TV shows on a regular basis, keep a list of them, and track their development until they get an air date. I also note if they are limited series, and I don’t ever recall Watchmen being touted as a limited series from its beginning.
Does anyone watch American TV any more?
“I saw a show recently called “Trailer Park Boys”.”
Those guys are hilarious. I was addicted at one time. The original movie back around 2000 led to the long running TV series (12 seasons). The cast changed over the years and I think they ended it in 2018.
