Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation.
Q describes this awakening as follows:

When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.
You are not alone and you are not in the minority.

That is entirely a matter of targeting and timing and message.

This time, the target and timing were both ones of
opportunity. Allen West had just won Texas GOP Leadership,
and since he’s someone who’s tweets I follow, I saw his
announcement go by in my twitter feed. *Noting* that he
has MANY followers to see any replies to his tweet...
And that he, and many of his followers might be receptive...
Meme-Unition Away!
It started getting likes and retweets right away, and the
more that happens, the more peoples twitter feeds it shows
up in... and the more likes and retweets it gets...
That’s how something going viral happens.
It achieved a minor outbreak.
Any of you might achieve an epidemic, or even #Trending!
So, the fact of the matter IS, that any of you can Tweet the
exact same thing, with the exact same Meme, at YOUR selected
target of opportunity and easily do better.
Just know that all the twittering DEMons will descend upon
you if you do.
(Often by then it is better to be off looking for your next mission...)
The only advantage I might have over some of you, is that I
already have a few followers that my reply will show to
besides just to anyone watching the replies to Allen West.
(And Twitter DEMons have nothing on the ones that haunt
QResearch, there are just lots more of them. Like Bats, they are!)
If the target and timing happen, and the message and the
Meme are good enough, nothing else will matter.
