No society, particularly one as free as the United States, would willingly abandon our constitutional protections, and our free-market economy. Americans know this. More particularly, Marxists know this.
Marxists also know they can stoke the flames of injustice and inequity to goad a large swath of the electorate into believing they've been given a raw deal by "the system." There are more (relatively) poor than (relatively) rich in America, while we remain the richest nation on the planet.
Envy is being weaponized to stoke a race and class war. Race and class envy is a particular means to a particular end, as Saul Alinsky taught to his cadre of "community organizers."
The particular end: power. Raw power. The power to alter, as Barack Obama was wont to say, the arc of history.
Russia, Ukraine, COVID, riots, cancel culture, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, LGBT — all are part of the script. All are designed to unseat Donald Trump, our Constitution, our justice system, our free-market economy, our faith-based institutions, the family, and ultimately Western civilization. These protections stand against the implementation of the New World Order.

I used to give a lecture to my Intro to Econ class saying I could end poverty overnight. They begged to know how. At that time (a long time ago!) the poverty level was $9600 for a family of 4. So, I said that all you have to do is get everyone who makes $9600 or less, line them up, and shoot them. Their eyes would go as big as pie plates with the expected “You can’t do that!” retorts. Wild examples are effective teaching tools!
After the dust settled, I asked them: “How long will it take before the person making $9601 starts bitching that they are the poorest person in the land?” From there we got into an interesting discussion of income distribution and the effect is has on incentives, productivity, and general standards of living.
Alas, today’s Snowflakes seem incapable of a rational discussion.
We (conservatives) have always maintained a laissez-faire attitude toward these cultural-political battles, seemingly content to allow the left some wins, if the core of our daily lives are not demonstrably affected. If we can we raise a family, go to work, buy some things, enjoy some pastime, go to church, we figure that compromising with the left is the Christian thing to do. One of Saul Alinsky’s “rules” was to use “our book of rules” against us.

It will be telling this November if enough Americans are so weary of the fight that they simply capitulate. Then we’ll know the Republic is finished in all but name.

Hear, hear! It's both frustrating and amazing to me that one of our major political parties condones (encourages?) riots, looting, burning, destroying, killing, etc. and it actually has a chance of winning.

People (on both sides) need to made aware that this is a fight to the death. IF we are fortunate enough to win, we cannot just “let them walk away to fight another day”. We need to remove this vermin from the country. Either ship em out to Zimbabwe or hang em for sedition/treason.
The author is delusional. There have been plenty of Americans EVEN RIGHT HERE ON FREE REPUBLIC who sold their freedom for nothing — just because some @ssholes in Washington and state capitals told them to huddle under their beds.

We have reached a dangerous time in our republic. If we lose this time, there will be serious repression. But even worse is the notion that if we EVER lose again, whether in 2020, 24, 28 or 32, it will be just as bad. What has happened is that we have reached a situation where the left only has to win once, and will be in position to impose their will on the entire country. We will be forced into civil war to prevent that.
In the past, a win by one side or the other could be reversed 4 years later. The left is working very hard to ensure that can never happen again, if they win. The only way to change that attitude on the part of the opposition party is to restore respect for rights, freedom and the Constitution, and overcome decades of anti-American teaching in schools and on TV. That is not an easy chore, it would take decades.
We need Trump to win this time, we need him to completely drain the swamp over the next 4 years, we need to win the 5 elections after that, and we need decades of marching through the institutions. Or there will be civil war at some point. It’s a tough row to hoe.
