Walt Disney World Florida remains a ghost town despite the reopening of its final two theme parks as coronavirus cases in Florida spike. Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios reopened Wednesday after Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom welcomed back visitors over the weekend. However lines were short, many areas remained deserted, some restaurants and stores stayed closed and live performances were off.

I was looking around YouTube this weekend and there was a live webcam feed from Animal Kingdom. There was perhaps 2 visitors in the feed. Not appealing to have to wear a mask all day in 95 degree/95% humidity.

I've said it before. You need your head examined if you drag you kids or grandkids to Disney in order to literally walk for miles in the Florida heat and humidity while wearing the slave muzzle mask.

When the lab results are modified by a factor of 10 you too can get great growth.

If they lowered the price things would change. God forbid Disney should lose a dime. You get what you get Disney.

I went back in February, it and Universal were shoulder to shoulder jammed packed, with a major percentage of Brazilians. My last visit was 2004 before that, it was pricey but it was worth it, especially the new Star Wars ahd Harry Potter rides.
But...no way on earth will I return wearing as others have coined...the slave muzzle mask. That needs to go mainstream.

Disney will probably shut down or operate even more limited like say 3 or 4 days a week. They have to have full parks to make money. At this rate I say it canbe literally any time an announcement will me made. Some Disney fans are hard cored it appears, I am glad I am not.
Another satisfaction is the foreign guests will more than likely be minimal for a long time.

The magic is over, kids. It’s a brave new world of misery and tumult. Get over it.

I have a cousin that sells packaged Disney holidays. She quit her job as a nurse 10 years ago because what started out as a side gig became her main money-maker. She has built up her own travel agency which is Disney-sanctioned with at least 20 people below her in some sort of pyramid scheme -- you can't sell Disney holidays unless you work for or own a travel agency that is endorsed by them, and you have to maintain a certain level of sales to keep the endorsement. She gets a percentage of sales from everyone below her.

She has the kind of looks and personality that can sell freezers to Eskimos (oops, that's rayciss) and has never had any problem convincing a working class family with small children into going into substantial credit card debt to have a 10 day vacation with all the bells and whistles. (I suppose if she didn't take their money, someone else would have).

I can only wonder how she's managing with the two mortgages (main house and lake house), boat and six car payments (herself, husband, and four kids) now...

To go off on a tangent, I see lots of places around Orlando selling “discounted” Disney tickets. I never tried it because I have a feeling it is a scam.

It’s been very, very hot here in Florida. Who wants to go there where it’s stifling hot in a mask?

“From what I see everyone has gone camping.”

We purchase our camper about two years before the outbreak. The best investment I have every done. We camp at least once a month sometime twice in the Fall.

I just hope the State and Federal government don’t go overboard and shut down parks/campgrounds again.

?

Do people really do that?

The people I know who have excess pay cash. I tell my kids you can’t gamble with money you need to pay for the house, food, property tax, utilities communication and transportation, retirement, insurance and anything else you need to pay for for the rest of your life if you lose your job. No debt. Then there’s others God might need you to help (not to be confused with leftist-chosen causes). After that you can play with money.

Who lends that kind of dough to people already in debt totally dependent on income?

We are seriously in need of reset. Politicians take advantage of that kind of foolish home management.

From my personal perspective, Disney Corp. is one of the most anti-American, corrupt companies on the face of the earth and I’m looking forward to seeing Eisner’s name on the list of Epstein’s friends.

As for the “spike” in Florida, the truth is outing itself of late: 300-plus labs reporting 100% positive tests; one hospital reporting 76% positive, when the actual number when queried was SIX percent; a VA facility reporting 90-plus percent, when it was actually NINE; hospitals flooded with COVID cases, when it’s actually around 20%, the remainder being cases of backed-up elective procedures that were put off for months. My favorites, however, are the cases in which people go to a lab or testing facility, fill out the personal history form, then leave because they’re tired of waiting, only to find out a week or two later that they’ve tested positive, when they were never tested.

I’ve been tracking worldwide COVID stats since mid-December and I have to say that the CDC stats are just as useless as the Chinese stats, which, given Fauci’s affliations, make perfect sense.
