White House coronavirus advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said the United States is seeing a surge in new Covid-19 infections because the country never shut down entirely.
Early in the outbreak, U.S. coronavirus cases peaked at around 30,000 new cases a day before falling and plateauing at roughly 20,000 new cases per day, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. As some states began to reopen in late April through June, new cases began to surge, Fauci told Stanford Medicine Dean Dr. Lloyd Minor during an interview.
"We did not shut down entirely," Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said. "We need to draw back a few yards and say, 'OK, we can't stay shut down forever.' ...You've got to shut down but then you've got to gradually open."
The U.S. has reported more than 3.3 million Covid-19 cases and at least 135,205 deaths as of Monday, Johns Hopkins data shows. As of Sunday, cases are growing by 5% or more in 37 states and also Washington, D.C., according to CNBC's analysis of the data. The seven-day average of U.S. cases is more than 59,100.

Wow!$20 USD per box of 50; what a deal! We here in the People’s Playground of Kanadahar are paying $37.99 CDN or so for the same thing. With the exchange, it should be about $28 CDN. The extra cost? Dr. Fauci downplayed HCQ and Zinc. Had it been used starting early March the death count would have been much lower. Only exception is Killer Cuomo”s death count.
We were doing fine until the BLM/George Floyd protests started. That is evident in the data.
We DID flatten the curve and protected the hospital system.....so now he’s saying we didn’t after all..BS!
Several things could be happening:
1. They could be making the test swabs more sensitive.
2. At the hospitals after they give a antibody test and it comes up positive they do a swab test and if it comes up positive instead of one case it becomes two cases, no accountability involved and they don't want no accountability involved because it would reveal the liberal fraud that is going on for increased numbers.
3. If after some one does there 14-21 days quarantine after being tested positive and they come up positive again, their second positive test may come up as a new case, again not accountability as to where the positive test results are coming from, labs probably have no idea if test swab is first swab or second swab etc.
4. Most States are doing record number of tests and that will create more positives, and more companies and organizations are having their workers and people tested.
Or nasty random hookups.
We all know this was never going to be let go of until after the election. Trump should start with shutting down the CDC and tell them to go home. Fauci is 80 and at high risk, he should not even be out if he thinks there needs to be a shutdeown.
Re-shutdown, school shutdown, any fun place shutdown is all going to be MAGNIFIED for the next 3 months. Whatever protocol you do not want to follow, just respond that it is a protest. Fauci is totally discredited by now. HAHA, mainly because he talked too much.
CDC and NIH are federal agencies therefore President Trump is their boss. Fire all the senior executives who are not willing to “play ball”. Everyone else will get the message. Or the door is open for them.
It does to me. The shutdown was never meant to stop the virus, only flatten the curve. We can't stop the virus, all we can do is protect the vulnerable, quarantine the infected, and allow everyone else to live their lives with masks and social distancing, and in a few months the drama will calm down.
Sweden is worse than us (though looking at the numbers, I wonder if lockdowns do not work).

My husband and I were formally UNINVITED to a wedding this weekend !!! Our “not sick” 14-year-old daughter had been somewhere, about 10 days ago ~ where some other “not sick kids” later tested positive. Kids have been FaceTiming. No one is sick.
The parents of the groom insisted we not attend for fear we, the adults who have not been exposed, might infect the wedding couple ~ who are going to MEXICO on their honeymoon, and didn’t want them to get sick, from us, and have to quarantine on their honeymoon. The groom’s family got the skewed info from my own MSM/WHO/CDC- radicalized child who was in the wedding party !!!!
Can’t make this stuff up !
