Friends of Ghislaine Maxwell are worried the disgraced socialite could get whacked in prison or die by suicide like her predator ex-lover and boss, Jeffrey Epstein.
“I’m absolutely worried for her safety,” said Christopher Mason, a TV host and journalist who has known Maxwell since the 1980s. “Do I think [she’s] in danger? Yes.”
Mason, who is appearing in the new docu-series “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein” in August on Lifetime, added that the threat to Maxwell — now headed to the same Manhattan lock-up where Epstein died last August — could be greater because of reports she might cooperate with authorities.
“The authorities are open to the possibility of some cooperation,” Mason said.
“In a way, I can’t imagine her ever giving up Prince Andrew, but if it’s life imprisonment with no hope of parole, it might be tempting. She of all of those people knew who slept with whom and [which young girl] was assigned to whom.”

It’s odd that 11 days after the US Attorney for the Southern District of NY is fired and replaced Maxwell is finally arrested.
No one will be surprised about her suicide except her.
As others have opined: They may think they have figured a way to sully or implicate Trump. It would require deep deep back round skills of the type possessed by Intel agencies. They’d have to rebuild Trumps whereabouts and fit it in with activity involving Epstein to make a case.
This would normally be a wildly paranoid idea BUT not only does the Deep State have the resources to do it, they WOULD do it in a heartbeat.
It all comes down to building something that Maxwell can swear to and no one can prove wrong.

I'm inclined to agree with you. JE’s “suicide” had to embarrass Barr seriously and he might he been naive enough to believe JE would be safe at the NYC MCC. Now there's no way he can escape accountability if GM “commits suicide.” Thus, to protect his job, he'll probably move heaven and
earth to protect her.
She might be used as bait to catch the people who killed Epstein.

I don’t believe that the public is interested who killed Epstein. We have much bigger problems — COVID19, a possible WWIII and anarchists in our country that are slowly destroying us.

Lost in all of this is the fairly obvious national intelligence implications of this. I would be shocked if Epstein and Maxwell were not operating on behalf on one or more nations. In that case, Maxwell has no control over the information — her handlers do. That also means her handlers probably have a lot of control over who gets fingered in a plea bargain and who does not. (Prince Andrew is just the celebrity face of this scandal. I don’t think anyone really cares about him — he’s really not very important. But major politicians and finance folks being implicated could shake the globe. Maybe that means Andrew will be the fall guy — “we got someone famous. It’s all over.”)
I have no idea how this all works out. But there are wheels behind wheels here. That it is happening while Trump and Netanyahu are in power may mean the wheels are good. But that’s a WAG.
