An African American single mom who lost her job during the CCP coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, and was down to her last $7, donated her winnings from a lottery ticket to a police officer who was shot in the line of duty. When the police department set up a donation link to help her out, she expressed disbelief and asked, Dont the officer and his family need it more? This is how America heals,
Shetara Sims, from Kansas City, MO, found a dollar in a parking lot of a grocery store and used it to buy a scratch off lottery ticket. Sims won $100, but instead of using the money to take care of her family, her daughter Rakiya suggested that they give the money to a police officer who had been shot on July 2 and was still in intensive care.
The Kansas City Police Department shared the story on their Facebook page, and hundreds of people asked how they could help Sims. The problem was that Sims had made the donation anonymously, and the police didnt know how to contact her. Once they tracked her down, they set up a GoFundMe account to help her get on her feet.
As of this writing, the donation link had raised just a hair over $40,000 in five days.
A woman called the Kansas City Missouri Police Department July 10. She wanted to help the officer who was shot July 2 and remains in the ICU. We (the KCPD) advised hes well cared for, but if she wanted to donate for restaurant or gas station gift cards for his family so they can eat at and travel to/from the hospital, we were accepting those at East Patrol Division. She went on to say she lives in the urban core of Kansas City, and her daughter was murdered in 2012. She said the detectives who worked her daughters case were like her therapists, fathers, and lifelines all in one.
She said she lost her job a month ago and has been struggling to pay her bills. She went to the grocery store last week and found a $1 bill in the parking lot. She used that to buy a lottery ticket, with which she won $100. Her 12-year-old daughter was with her and said, Mom, we should give that to the police officer who got shot. She agreed immediately. With her current financial hardship, we urged her to keep the money. She refused, saying the officers family needed it, and police needed to know they were supported.
We at KCPD shared this wonderful act of humanity on our social media. Then hundreds of people said they wanted to help her out. However, the woman had called from an unlisted number and didnt leave a name. It took a while, but we were able to track her down. Her name is Shetara Sims. She is on the left of this photo (along with KCPD social worker Brooke and Officer Earle). Shes a struggling single mom. Even when we found her again, she asked, Dont the officer and his family need it more?
Shetaras act of kindness has touched Kansas City, and they wanted to give back. This is your chance to do so!

Some casualties from last night's purge include @SSG_PAIN , @QAnonNotables, @MoreQowBell , and @ttp13526 (aka Anonymous Q Patriot).
Notice that in some instances the accounts aren't even suspended, they flat out don't exist anymore. All traces erased from Twitter's databases.
A note on @prayingmedic , it looks like he disabled his account on his own accord and will be back soon.
Likely a precautionary measure.
Twitter has deactivated my ability to download my own data. This happens on all devices and browsers I've tried it on.
Not sure if others are experiencing this as well.
They're preparing to purge us all and not even give us the ability to keep what we've posted.
I was hit with violations of the spam policy.

We found her. Her name is Pepper. A black and white terrier mix. Really sweet. Jumped up on bed as soon as she got inside. Gonna be a great buddy for Paul. Will post a picture or two later to FB and Nikk when we get settled.
Lots of bonding going on now.

It is alleged that Yepes and Zapata conspired to use threats to extort approximately $750,000 in drug debt from two cocaine traffickers based in Massachusetts. Yepes and Zapata also conspired with Colindres and Ariasgil to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine in Massachusetts. Colindres and Ariasgil also allegedly possessed with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.
The operation, dubbed Operation Týr, was conducted by a multi-agency task force through the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF).
The principal mission of the OCDETF program is to identify, disrupt and dismantle the most serious drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and money laundering organizations and those primarily responsible for the nations illegal drug supply.
The charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine provides for a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and up to life in prison, a minimum of five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release and a fine of up to $10 million.
The charges of extortion conspiracy and collection of extensions of credit by extortionate means each provide for a sentence up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. The charge of interstate travel in aid of racketeering provides for a sentence of up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. The charges of money laundering and money laundering conspiracy each provide for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $500,000, or twice the value of the property involved in the transaction, whichever is greater.
Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
United States Attorney Andrew E. Lelling and Brian D. Boyle, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration, New England Field Division, made the announcement today.
The Criminal Divisions Office of International Affairs of the Justice Department, Internal Revenue Services Criminal Investigations in Boston and the Government of Colombia provided critical assistance with the investigation.

A week after finding that Trump closed a 10-point gap with Biden to just three points, Rasmussen Reports today revealed that Trump has edged up another point as Biden has hit a ceiling.
Today the race stands at 45% for Trump, 47% for Biden, well within the polls margin of error. It was published in Rasmussens weekly White House Watch feature.
Separately, Rasmussen said that Trump has boosted his approval rating to 49% approve, 50% disapprove.

There were three engineers in my group. Every one of us quit teaching in the first year.I'd cheerfully claim that those engineers left teaching not because of the salaries but due to "our" ingrained aversion to BS. Particularly when it occurs in Mathematics.
Our kids still tell stories about my reaction to New Math back in the 80's and the first time I encountered that Common Core stuff in grandson's homework I had to leave the house until I stopped sputtering and swearing.
