I want the memorial for the Massachusetts 54th down too. It is racist because the Whitey is in the foreground and the colored soldiers are in the background.
Some good people with money should collect a good number of these statues and create a nice museum for them.
Pathetic.
Is this the one the freed slaves actually paid for?
Why don’t they boycott the pro slavery political party that Lincoln defeated?
I was kinda hoping it said Boston was coming down.

Lincoln’s out-stretched arm is symbolic of his proclamation freeng the slave(s). The now-ex-slave’s posture is that of a slave but poised to stand up, symbolic of his newly granted freedom. Nothing racist about the statue. Just ignorance of its message.
This is the same mentality that gives us mobs of entitled white millenial snowflakes burning black neighborhoods to the ground in the name of “anti-racism.”
The cultural Taliban offensive continues.
They want to erase this one because they want it forgotten that a Republican freed the slaves.
Truth doesn’t matter to leftists.
Sad.
This is not about tearing down “symbols of the Confederacy” or “symbols of White Racism” - this is about tearing down anything and everything that represents Western Civilization and those who created and upheld it.
The rioters, looters and destroyers have no sense of history, understand nothing, they’ve been fed lies all of their educational lives by an anti-American education system.
Just like in the 60’s, all they see is Western Civ has “got to go” - with no understanding it is “Western Civ” that is allowing them to do exactly what they’re doing.
Thank you Nimrata Randhawa.
I would like to see a second statue put near this Lincoln statue and the similar one in DC. Make the 2nd nearby state of a well dressed black man and his family standing tall and admiring the Lincoln emancipation statue with reverence and admiration for the survival of the enslaved and gratitude that northern whites and President Lincoln sacrificed their own lives to free and give independence to enslaved Americans.
Will they be replacing it with a statue of John Wilkes Booth...?
