i dump my leftover cold coffee (black) on my acid loving plants, and rosebushes.
I put a 40 oz malt liquor, 1/2 cup of molasses and a couple squirts of dish soap in a sprayer and use it on my lawn. Worms come up , robins eat, grass is really green.
My kids swear by vinegar and mouthwash foot soaks- kills athelete’s foot/itchy rashes.
Baking soda is a proven inflammation fighter. just search “baking soda for inflammation” or try this one-

If you ever find a non stick pan that works please let me know.
They die pretty quickly in my home.
Some have lasted two months, some 5 months and this latest one is a piece of junk. Food sticking to the pan after 3 uses. Now I have to coat the thing in Pam in order to be non stick.
Not sure if you know this one but it is common: vinegar ( even apple cider vinegar ) and water to clean windows.
Use newspaper to dry as it will not streak.
We had lots of geckos inside the house. I read where you can put egg shells out and they get scared of them and leave cause the shells are big...but, you have to use at least two shells. I thought this was a joke, but we have not seen them for months!
Vitamin C for dog urinary tract infection.
sml 250mg/day
med 500mg/day
lrg 750mg/day
Our 20# female dog got a urinary infection on the weekend when the vet was closed. She was in pain and had trouble urinating. We got a sample to take to the vet for Monday(small flat plastic container taped to a yard stick). The urine was brown & cloudy.
Urinary tract infections can be life threatening to a dog.
I gave her a 500mg vit C crushed in peanut butter.
She was pain free and urinating normal in less than an hour.
We continued the treatment for 10 days just as we would have with an antibiotic from the vet.
Cranberry juice (as recommended similarly for humans) is just the carrier for the vit C.
Actually that would be black powder, and a 5.56mm rifle would not fare well using it. Black powder explodes, smokeless powder burns.

I am sad to report that tea tree oil should not be ingested, it is poisonous, will damage kidneys. It CAN kill pets.

The last couple we bought were Oxo, the first held up well for several years, the one we have now seems better, and is a year old and looks new. We use it every day.
However, we rarely put it in the dishwasher (that’s always me, my husband is a purist) and never use metal utensils on it. It was one of America’s Test Kitchen’s top-rated non-stick pans:

Made me chuckle.
I use 6oz White Vinegar as a softener in my laundry. Softens clothes without leaving a film ala Downey.
As a semi-retired single nester, I even surprise myself with my domestic skills - gotta survive in this world!
If you need a penny to look brand now, put it in a single-serving container of Taco Bell Taco Sauce. We used to amuse ourselves at Bar Time with that little trick. It would probably work on the bottom of a grungy pan, too! ;)
We have VERY hard water and Beau is anti-water softening for SOME reason (Luddite!) so I go through a lot of vinegar cleaning faucet & shower head aerators and the coffee maker.
It’s managed to wreck the ice maker in the NEW fridge, so I’m back to making ice cubes like a Cave Woman.
Any ice cube recipes to share? ;)
Concentrated cranberry fruit capsules are a good delivery system, too.
If you want completely clear ice cubes for party drinks, boil the water first.
I brush my teeth in baking soda. No salt or anything else. At 74 I still have all my teeth, except the wisdom teeth.
Don’t smoke while using them!
Just used old olive oil and baking soda to take labels off glass jars I wanted to reuse...and a little energy.
” nitric acid, sulfuric acid”
Darn, Save-On drugstore is all out.
Bkmk for baking soda and other home recipes
Been doing that for decades.
