BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – The Chinese newspaper, Soho, revealed a Russian weapon capable of repelling any American air attack on Russia.
According to the newspaper, Russia’s possession of the S-500 air defense system will lead to serious consequences for the United States, should the latter send strategic bombers to launch an attack on Russia.
The Chinese newspaper described the Russian weapon S-500 as the “real treasure” of the Russian army, noting that Moscow is able to help it build the strongest air defense system on the planet, due to the system’s ability to track and intercept all existing air targets and repel any American air attack, in the event of a dispute.
The newspaper added that the S-500 is the most mysterious system, due to the lack of information about it and its unknown characteristics.
It is noteworthy that the S-500 “Prometheus” air defense missile system belongs to a new generation of air defense (“surface-to-air” missile systems). It is a missile system with a large launch range and has the ability to intercept targets at high altitudes in addition to its increased ability to carry out tasks related to anti-missile defense and intercept ballistic missiles.
This promising system is capable of destroying not only ballistic targets, but also aerodynamic targets (aircraft, helicopters, and other air targets), as well as winged missiles.
According to previous reports, the radius of the S-500 system is about 600 km. In addition, this system will be able to simultaneously discover and destroy up to ten hypersonic ballistic targets flying at speeds of up to 7 kilometers per second, as well as being able to destroy the destructive warheads of hypersonic missiles.
In terms of its properties, the S-500 missile system will significantly outperform the S-400 air defense missile system and its advanced American rival, Patriot.

Fortunately, President Trump is the Avatar and can attack with any of the four elements equally.
Wonder how good it is at differentiating between targets. Launch 10 bombers and around 100 cheap drones they very likely would run out of the AA missiles before targets.
Well, I guess that’s it for us. We’d just better give up.

Absolutely feasible, but it would be very expensive (simply a matter of $ per pound to stable, long-term orbit) and its existence would be absolutely impossible to keep under wraps.

You forgot to add maintenance to your list. The Soviets, and now the Russians are notorious for their neglect of preventive and periodic maintenance. You can build the best systems the World has ever seen, fail to maintain them though and they might as well be paper weights.

An addendum though that involves maintenance and supplies. I remember from the biography of the Soviet Pilot, Viktor Belenko, who defected with his MiG-25 Foxbat to Japan in the Ford Administration (1976). He talked about how the Soviets used high-proof alcohol for their aircraft because it could withstand Siberian cold temps. Heavy drinking Russians would dilute this down to useless to survive the hell that was the Soviet Enlisted Class. Oops!
You're talking about third party proxy operators in Libya, who may or may not have had proper training in the Pantsir air defense system and most likely very little actual experience.
Drone swarms have been markedly less effective against Russian military installations in Syria where air defense is under direct Russian control.
Both sides are learning from these encounters, so it remains to be seen whether Turkish drones are more effective than Russian air defense.

Unfortunately, there are real problems with our military. I was reading about a book in the Washington Examiner the other day called “The Kill Chain” by Christopher Brose. He’s been on the inside of our war games & against China every scenario shows that the US would lose a war with them. Whether this Russian thing is for real or not, I don’t know. But it sounds like we need some serious re-vamping of our forces to meet what’s coming in the future.

Drones now have to be accounted for, and countermeasures will have to adjust for tactics only recently devised.
Here’s a pretty good write up on the subject that has video of some of the drone strikes if you’re interested. Looks like Turkey may have used some cruise missiles as well.
