Mayor de Blasio called parents who are thinking about removing their kids from troubled Department of Education-run schools “privileged” Tuesday — and said those of lesser means will “stand and fight” for the city’s future.
The mayor’s comments come amid reports that a growing number of city parents who are worried about the effect of coronavirus restrictions on their kids’ education are considering leaving New York or defecting to charter or private schools.

I cannot remember a more reprehensible destructive moron as mayor of NYC than this wrecking ball. And, BTW, he has set up a committee consisting ONLY of his black lesbian incompetent wife which is to decide which statues in NYC must go and which can stay. Thus, you can bet the bank that only statues and art depicting blacks and gays will adorn the Big Apple streets. After all, wifey was SO successful administering the mental health THRIVE program--and still cannot account for $850 million of taxpayer money. There's been 2 other committees his absolutely unqualified wife has been in charge of, which were equally bust. And yet, he leaves this matter not to historically educated people, but his grifter wife. Another step in their degradation of the city.

So you admit your schools are terribly run and all of a sudden get mad when people who can remove their kids from said schools or move.
He has been in office for 6 YEARS and done nothing and gets mad about others reacting to HIS failures.
They throw names out ‘privledged’ and ‘racist’ as sone sort of intimidation tool. Just wow. Instead of embracing freedom of choice (I guess it depends on what choice is), they use methods to control.
Using those terms have worked so far, but they’ve worn it out. I hope to God those parents care more about their children’s future than to give a second though about his manipulation.
He just doesn’t want the competition for his children.
