The Minneapolis City Council president will vote to abolish the city's police department for a "transformative new model of public safety."
On Thursday, Lisa Bender, the Minneapolis City Council president, committed to abolishing law enforcement in the city, which is home to approximately 430,000 residents, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
"Yes. We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a transformative new model of public safety," Bender said in response to Jeremiah Ellison, the son of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and another member of the city council.

In an interview with local media, Bender said she believes it is possible for the council to vote to abolish the police department, though it would require "white people" to "show up in a different way."
“To do this kind of big work, we need a deeper, broader conversation than we’ve ever had before,” she said. “We need white people, like me and my neighbors, to show up in a different way.”

Well, there was a time when police departments did not exist at all and people carried open or concealed without any issue at all. Is this what this woman has in mind?
I think what you will see in the end...the police department of Minneapolis dumped, and everything routed to the county sheriff, and the deputies. In the end, less law enforcement, and simply more deputies required for each single incident.
If I owned property in the city, or a business...none of this would comfort me, and I’d prepare to leave. Either your taxes are rapidly increasing or the threat to you will escalate.
Social workers who dont do their job now will deal with rapist, criminals, pedophiles, drug addicts, drug dealers, gang bangers, murderers, child molesters, oh, and more importantly someone good at math to skew the numbers in a favorable way for the gullible hopeful population. yeah I feel safe

Ah yes, eventually the age old leftist creepozoid mantra ‘abolish the police.’ So... to follow their ‘logic’ let’s mandate the abolishment of all front door locks. Heck, let’s go one step further and abolish the front door entirely. The pilot project for this ‘new way forward’ could be by mandating that the homes of all the rioters be the first homes with no front door. Then, all homes, apartments, hovels within sanctuary cities and states. We could take advantage of facial recognition technology to determine the identity of each rioter. Then, the Front Doors Don’t Matter Task Force would be empowered to institute this groundbreaking initiative. We could even mandate that Soros and Bill Gates fund it.

Intent is to create a leftist “police” organization whose goal will be to promote/enforce communist objectives. This has been going on for several decades now and is reaching fruition.
Law enforcement is NOT what most normal, law abiding Americans think it is. Even most police officers do not realize what has happened.
And it has happened to the enthusiastic approval of most Americans.
It has been happening by the creation of laws with ostensible rationality, which has been transformed into leftist organizing programs: driving under the influence, domestic violence, animal abuse, environment, zoning.
The actual enforcement of these laws bears little relation to improving lives, and are used instead to criminalize and intimidate normal Americans.
The new bail laws have zero to do with justice and fairness, and everything to do with creation of these communist “police” front groups.
These is literally no aspect of American society today not in the process of transformation into a communist front group.
