Hysteria in Chagrin Falls over George Floyd protest exposes troubling mindset of white America

And perhaps a teenager calling for a Black Lives Matter rally in a predominantly white, affluent suburb normally might have been ignored or elicited a few eye rolls from those who see big cities as the epicenters of change. But what happened next is evidence that Chagrin Falls -- and towns like it across America – need to hear the message of the Black Lives Matter movement the most.

As soon as word of Chase’s rally spread, a kind of hysteria descended upon Chagrin Falls. Merchants, aware of demonstrations last Saturday, 25 miles away in downtown Cleveland and elsewhere that had devolved into violent riots, began boarding up their storefronts.

Meanwhile, Chase started receiving threats. One thread on a community Facebook page became so filled with hateful messages directed at Chase and his protest that the page administrator removed the post altogether, Chase said. People called the phone number he had posted on the flyer, demanding that he cancel the rally or face backlash. Some threatened violence. One caller left a message that said protesters who dared to show up would be met by an AR-15 rifle. Chase turned the messages over to police.

But the business community remained on high alert and continued to prepare, apparently for a marauding band of looters to hit Chagrin Falls. By Tuesday morning, about 80 percent of the town’s business district was shuttered by plywood. Some business owners accepted the help of a man cruising up and down Main Street, offering to board up their buildings for $300 a pop.

I spoke with some business owners Tuesday to try to understand the hysteria that stood in the way of Chase’s attempt to stage a peaceful demonstration. As I’ve said in previous columns, white America’s dangerous, racist and irrational fears underlie the problem of police violence against black citizens. So arguably the most powerful setting for a Black Lives Matter protest would be the home of white America. Places like Chagrin Falls.

And so my rage at this author swells. What part of looters, damage, and mayhem does she not understand? And how she attempts to twist legitimate concerns into racist fears!!! Full article at the link.

Chase needs his ass kicked.

Instead of listening to his Antifa overlords.

OK, so boarding up your store’s windows is now a racist act. Erasing BLM graffiti from a building is a racist act. Not taking a knee to a black is a racist act. Condemning riots and looting , supporting and voting for President Trump is also racist as well. I’m not a racist, but I’m getting to the point where I don’t care any more. They’ve used the word so many times it’s lost its meaning to me.

I believe most of the screams of “racist” come from BLM’s white “allies”. The woman that screamed at the girls cleaning the building was a white woman.

“white America’s dangerous, racist and irrational fears underlie the problem of police violence against black citizens.”

No you bint.
America has a rational fear of feral tribes running loose commiting the majority of the crimes in this country.
If you see racism everywhere you look maybe the problem is with you and not the rest of the country.

Unfortunately the leftists are beginning to unify and have established themselves on the high ground of world thought. Companies and people leaders seeing this are quickly joining in to avoid any negative consequences. Some seeking to be relevant in the future find an opportunity to make a place for themselves in the new order.

President Trump instinctively went for defending the country but this event was well planned and he appeared to recognize the situation. The snakes he befriended in Covid-19 sprung into action feeling the warmth from the depth of feeling of idealistic youth, motivated zealots and anarchists.

And so they advance and it would seem President Trump and his allies react. Soon this movement will have a visible head who knows maybe the next black VP running for President. How do you stop this juggernaut you may ask.

First thing I believe President Trump did correctly is that he prayed and openly which caused quite an uproar, I would suggest he keep it up asking for discernment and judgment.

Second he needs to capture the issue. Interestingly we just saw on the space station a heart warming scene our astronaut captured the flag to reclaim our place in space exploration.

And so how can we do this? Well we do have the Presidency who can we not create executive orders and the Senate which can pass laws And do we not have black leadership that we can put on TV every day asking for both knees to be placed on the ground.

Remember the opponent has the high ground at the moment just ask yourself how would you go about capturing that flag. We can, God willing and if it not his will then be at peace he is allowing it for our own good. But certainly God wants the best for us if only we ask, try and do.

This is the natural consequence of identity politics. Since you are to be judged based on the group with which you are identified (willingly or not), it is natural to tar (is that still a permitted word?) all similar groups. Thus all cops are to be judged by the few bad cops, all races by their lowest level of civil behavior and all political parties and faiths by their extremist elements, so identity politics demands all protests be judged by the most violent ones. Live by the group. Die by the group.

I’m apparently lacking in white guilt, self hate. And my desire to protect my family, neighbors, friends, my home, make me a bad person.

The media has done it’s best to whip up hysteria and complains when people react to it.

It is insanity.

Insanity.

Normal people, expressing justified fear and anger over some POS teenage social justice warrior, wanting to bring a riot, based on racially fanned FALSEHOOD (the falsehood that there exists an epidemic of black men being murdered in large numbers by racist police in the USA) being branded a RACIST for being rational, sensible, and justified.

Unbelievable.

Been to Chagrin Falls, home of Tim Conway, many times. It reminds me of an old New England village, very quiet, small townish feel.

Thank heavens the townsfolk did whatever they needed to do to keep the place together after the children have had their temper tantrum and go back to their mommy and daddy’s basements.

Ha..! Wasn't it the rev. Jessie Jackson that once said, when I see a group of young black men coming, I move to the other side of the street...?
