The overwhelming majority of those trying to enter the country illegally are being “expeditiously” returned rather than put into detention, in part because of a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) order in March to combat the coronavirus crisis, the head of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) testified Thursday.
The CDC order, issued in late March in response to the coronavirus crisis, suspends “the introduction of persons from designated countries or places, if required, in the interest of public health.” It allows the federal government to return those entering the country illegally or seeking asylum back to their country of origin in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
While the Trump administration has implemented a number of measures to deal with illegal immigration — including the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) — acting CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan testified to the House Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that the effect of the order has been dramatic.
“Early on, after the order, we saw those trying to illegally enter our country drop by more than 50 percent from our pre-COVID numbers,” he said, although he emphasized the CDC order was for public health, not immigration.
“Rather than introduce the illegal aliens into our facilities, increasing exposure risk to our workforce and our country, CBP, because of this order, is returning approximately 95 percent of those that we encounter expeditiously to the country of last transit,” he said.

The many blacks here in my town are very religious. They spend hours at church services. Most are Pentecostal.
They do believe in Corinthians 14::NIV... Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God. ... He who prophesies is greater than one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.
What does the Bible say about praying in tongues?
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
I didn't mean to give a lesson but since I needed to better understand I thought I would share.
I was invited to one of their church services and I went. My town is quite different from other towns around me. We have several black families and some Indiana towns have none and possibly none ever. Our high school even through there are two in the county is very mixed backgrounds. Some call us the over-flow of Louisville, Kentucky. Many people here work in Louisville. Our politics flips back and forth.

My favorite Jessi...croissants! A friend gave us a jar of blueberry jam. They picked them themselves. Last night sent over a blueberry/blackberry cobbler. Delicious.
Suppose to get 90 here today. I hurried out and spread mulch places where the squirrels dig. Then watered my back and side yard. And I should say watered myself too. This happens WHY TOO often. lol You have a good day.

I am watching this video right now.
It is very important in that it explains what being a Republican stands for. It is explaining our values & beliefs in a way that NO politician is doing right now. Very clear, very “”real”.
A compilation of testimonials from people of all walks of life - many immigrants, many former Dims. Heartfelt explanations without any yelling or name calling.
This video needs to get out & be seen by the masses.
I think EVERY Republican candidate & Politician should have this pinned to all of their social media sites.
