The Democrats want some kind of massacre that they can blame on Trump.
By operating clandestinely, Trump accomplishes several things:
He avoids the trap.
He forces Democratic governors/mayors to take the "blame," since they can never admit that the feds intervened.
He saves face for Democratic governors/mayors, who after all he needs to work with.
("Blame" depends on your political ideology.) No matter what our elected imbeciles SAY, they know that this is a catastrophe for their party.

I came across a Rabbi Jonathan Cahn 10-minute video yesterday which I hadn’t seen before. It’s about the two ‘Cyrus’ leaders in America (Truman, Trump) and how they hugely impacted Israel. How the U.N declaration against Jerusalem belonging to Israel in 1947 was negated by the Trump declaration that Jerusalem was Israel’s capital and it was made not only 70 years apart, but on the exact same day in the JEWISH calendar.

The video reminded me that God’s agenda really ‘trumps’ all. According to Jonathan Cahn’s other book, he shows the 2016 presidential race was a reenactment of the Old Testament battle between wild King Jehu (Trump) vs Queen Jezebaal (Hillary), the result HAD to be that Trump won as Jehu won. President Trump was in position then to make the Jerusalem Declaration the next year on exactly the right date that God ordained. There are no coincidences.
So many prophets prophesied the 2016 election outcome beforehand. I’m still finding more of them 3 years later, like Rodney Howard Browne (South Africa-USA) and Tomi Arayomi (Nigeria-UK). God gave them the word, they prophesied out of obedience (although some didn’t like it and some didn’t want to), the true Church prayed, and God played the “trump card” against Hillary. It’s God’s agenda even for this November election and He always wins.

We are headed to Dallas where the president is scheduled to have a roundtable on “Transition to Greatness: Restoring, Rebuilding, and Renewing,” per the White House. That will be followed by a fundraiser.
The roundtable will be streamed on White House Live. The fundraiser is closed press.
An RNC official says the Dallas fundraising event will have approximately 25 attendees and will raise “$10M for Trump Victory, a joint fundraising committee benefiting the Trump campaign, RNC, and 22 state parties.”

Well, CA people aren’t influencing me, because I rarely talk to anyone, and especially not about politics. Now that there are none of my kids’ baseball games, I really don’t talk to anybody.
The main problem I see is the “commie media brainwashing” mentioned by you. Again, I don’t watch them, but many, especially older people get 100% of their news from these sources. They are to the point now that they are not just tweaking, or slanting the news, they are outright lying. No matter what Trump says or does, they will lye about it. Take his speech about George Floyd on the job number day. They cut it up to, not just imply, but to out right say that Trump said Floyd should be happy about the job numbers. Or they hide good Trump news or bad Dim news so nobody sees it. This will only get worse come November.
The one thing that is 100% tangible that people can feel & the media cannot distort, is the economy. If people have a job, the media cannot distort that. However, it is going to take many months for the economy to get back to where it was. Maybe even more than a year, but certainly longer than November, although hopefully we will have a great trend by then.
