I was listening to him at the top of the hour.
I think he said his current treatment's goal is to make the patient comfortable for as long as possible.
Maybe I am reading too much into it, but perhaps he is telling us he isn't being treated for a cure.
He also said we would be amazed, if we knew exactly what he had, that he is still alive.
Did anyone else hear him?
I just caught him for a minute or two, and he didn’t sound great.
FWIW....
I believe Mr. Limbaugh has 6 - 24 months left.
May God Bless him during these uncertain days.
Didn’t hear that 2nd sentence you posted.
Early on in his treatment he mentioned going with some kind of experimental approach at treating it.
He’s only shared what he’s chosen to share and doesn’t want to put too much out there (even the particulars of the type of cancer that he has).
I guess I'm trying to stay as positive and optimistic as possible by not entertaining such thoughts.
Who in the world can fill this great man’s shoes?
It's time to pray harder for him, and to each of us personally let him know how important he's been in the world, and how thankful we are. He's too classy to just come out and say what he's going through, but lung cancer is horrible.
I hope that you are incorrect, as does everyone else.
and to = and for
Thats a bit like asking who could fill Johnny Carson’s shoes?
It seemed like he was saying that he may well enter palliative care at some point.
BTW, as the show goes on, his voice is improving significantly.
I heard it. I concur with your conclusion.
Mega-Dittoes.
If your recollection is accurate, then you conclusion is correct.
No one really.
Prayers for Rush..he’s an amazing man battling a horrible cancer..like Alex Trebek both are beating the odds, everyday is a blessing
I took it as he is in a delaying action, and not a winning outcome.
I had the same thoughts. His inability to breathe is also very telling.
He said in the first hour that hes just started the next phase of clinical trials that they are hoping will aggressively confront the tumor. However he has a 1% mutation that keeps it from being fully effective. The first phase however succeeded enormously. Dont know what to make of any more than that.
