How about LICENCE TO KILL and BREAKDOWN?

In LICENCE TO KILL, Agent 007 goes after a big time drug dealer...

In BREAKDOWN, a Boston guy (Kurt Russell) goes after thugs who kidnapped his wife in Arizona...

Haven’t seen Spencer Confidential yet but I’m definitely a Peter Berg fan. He directed Lone Survivor and Patriots Day. Among other great films. Will watch Spencer Confidential soon!

I have seen SPENCER: FOR HIRE on TV during 1980s...Robert Urich was in it...

Peter Berg also directed THE KINGDOM...The best part of that film was the shootout between US agents and Islamic terrorists in Saudi Arabia...

He had one in which revenge was visited upon his character: “The Beguiled.”

A good TV movie from the 1970s about payback was “The Girl Most Likely To ...” starring Stockard Channing.

That’s one of my favorite movies of any type. However, for revenge, I’ll go with Valdez is Coming.

“Breakdown” is great. Kurt Russell is very underrated IMO.

Not my favorite, but the most recent revenge movie I enjoyed was “Peppermint” with Jennifer Garner. Yes — Jennifer Garner.

Oh Mads Mikkelson’s an outstanding actor! He also plays ‘Hannibal” in a series

on Netflex/Amazon. Never thought anyone could top Anthony Hopkins Hannibal

but Mikkelson does in this series. Only this is played when he was a respected

Psychologist working with Investigators, so it gets really interesting.....Mads Mikkelsen’s Lecter doesn’t just better Anthony Hopkins’ portrayal – he devours it! Hopkins’ Lecter teetered on camp madness; Mikkelsen is more subtle, more convincingly insidious....Even when he’s not doing much – cooking, staring, delivering speeches on amorality – he is terrifying. It’s a great performance.

Gillian Anderson play a psychiatrist to Hannibal and Laurence Fishburne plays the role of Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI Behavioural Sciences Unit.

They actually hired a top Chief to work on the site!

I forgot about The Count of Monte Cristo.
Good catch - that would get my vote as well.

He is indeed incredible. He just eats up the screen. I happened to run across a long article, in The Guardian I believe, and the guy was absolutely raving about Hannibal. He was shocked it was allowed on a regular station. He also interviewed the creator who didn’t rule out another round.

Your description is excellent. Michelson was also magnificent in “The Hunt.” It won a huge number of awards. He was a professional dancer for 10 years too.

If you have never seen “Manhunter”? It is an amazing movie with incredible imagery. It features Brian Cox as Hannibal, but focuses on the tooth fairy. It is a Michael Mann movie & is incredible.
