I have a confession to make. I am sick
of coronavirus commercials. I in no way feel comforted by them, moved by them and Im certainly not entertained by them. At the very least they make me want to change the channel. At worst they make me want to actively boycott the products.
I dont want to see one more damn coronavirus commercial!
No more Were all in this together we are decidedly not. From celebrities doing Tik Toks from their palatial estates to Nancy Pelosis subzero freezer filled to the brim with expensive ice cream it has become increasingly clear that we are indeed not all in this together. Some of us are crammed into stale apartments. Some of us are isolated with our abusers or family addicts. Some of us are losing the businesses we worked our whole lives to build. Others of us are in mansions, still getting paid, still traveling, still going to parties, still going to private gym appointments. None of us are together, though. Thats kind of the whole point.
I dont want to see one more damn celebrity sing-along over Zoom. In fact, I dont want to see one more damn thing over Zoom, period!
X8 snip
The collectivist underpinnings of this crap annoys the hell out of me.
I HATE it when some holier-than-thou virtue signaler says things that presume to speak for ALL of us. I do not want that type thinking they speak for me. I never want to hear "That's not who we are" ever again.
Besides, these "Strong" messages make it sound like we all just stormed the beaches of Normandy yesterday. For crying out loud, all we did was run low on TP, spritz alcohol on our hands, learn how to properly wash our fingertips, and catch up on some reading and Netflix shows.
That Aussie vid is FANTASTIC!! Made my day. Thanks.
LOL...that Jillette commercial is great. I love their spokesperson - “M.T. Suit, Grand Moff at Jillette.”
I cant imagine having regular TV. LOL!
Just the few ads I see online would drive me nuts if they were basically all you saw during ad breaks on TV.
I’ve never even seen one. The only thing I watch is the local news and I mute it every time a commercial comes on.
Amen x 1000...stop these pussy as*ed commercials ....this is what happens when men turn into pussies
When he said “we know you all at least have 1200.00” I almost fell out of chair laughing.
Im sure the Chinese Communist Party is shaking in its Jack Boots over our unity! So strong!
/sarc
If the TV isn’t bad enough some gas pumps in my area have LCD
screens on them and I have to endure that Facist Half whit telling me to stay home while I am putting gas in a car.
Hear effin hear.
Chinese Communist-like commercials...
They define the word repulsive.
It all started with Boston Strong after the marathon bombing. Im not sure what strength was exhibited during that episode. Then I lived through Houston Strong after Harvey, watching a three mile long line of cars near my house to get food stamps.
Victimhood is not strength.
Well said...collectivist indeed...far removed from what makes the country great.
They even sneaks this garbage into old TV shows by editing them into commercial spots...anybody watch MeTV? They even went so far as to take characters from the Flintstones to make one of these spots (right before the cartoon or during a break). Brainwashing.
Me too!!
Amen!
That may be the intention, but not many people are fooled.
Somebody who voted for Bernie Sanders isn't going to start loving corporations because they say they "care."
"Empty displays of compassion" are among the things "Karens" specialize in. "Karens," who voted for Obama because he was "dreamy ... and so courageous" and who support every socialist scheme that comes along out of "fairness." Even most women hate "Karens."
"Karens" now run our entire freaking country, because the media absolutely loves useful idiots and fellow travelers. This needs to stop.
Thank YOU for posting that. HAHA
martin_,
I still remember the visual you did a few years back with the computer monitor placed on top of copier to make a screenshot. It was hilarious!
