Corona Virus Daily Thread #52 COVID-19 5/12/2020
In most areas we are opening up regardless of what the Governors and Mayors say. Here in San Diego, we are slowly drifting left, but are still far from LA or SF. Restaurants are opening, shops are opening, beaches and parks are open. It’s limited now, but on Jun 1, I think we will see further easing of restrictions. After initially requiring shops, bars and restaurants to submit plans for approval, now all they have to do is post their plan at the entrance. It’s pretty much an “honor system”. We still have a ways to go before we have large events, but by late summer (barring a 2nd wave) those will return too. This Memorial Day weekend is going to see a lot of gatherings, large and small. I know I’m attending a small one, but I’ve been doing that every week for the past month. CA is still trending slowly upward in daily new cases, but our hospitals are well below capacity. We will see how the next few weeks go. Hopefully we don’t have a large increase, because people are not going to go backward.
How can you say the ChiComs won when we flattened the curve and kept our health system from crashing?
First of all, the ChiComs did not especially want that. Why would they? What difference would it make? Unless you think it was the first shot in World War III.
Second and more important, this is not the battle between different forces that we now think it is. Or, better said, it shouldn’t be. It’s always rightfully been only a battle to conquer the disease to the extent that we can.
Put the fire out. Don’t let it have any more fuel. Anything else is not worthy of us as human beings.

Dear Church Family
We have received calls asking whether Times Square Church will be reopening based on President Trumps comments that churches have been deemed essential by the CDC and should reopen by this weekend.
Times Square Church is awaiting guidance from NY State and NYC local authorities to determine whether or not we reopen in any capacity. As of now, our church facilities will remain closed through the end of May.
Please keep our leadership in prayer as we make a decision regarding reopening our facilities. The health and safety of our church family is a primary concern.
We will keep you informed of any updates concerning reopening.
Have a good Memorial Day weekend!

We definitely flattened the (logarithmic) curve. So why aren’t some areas opening yet? All states should have started re-opening on May 1. JMO.
Plus, China has been at war with us for a long time. Why do you think they allowed people to fly to various parts of the world from Wuhan during this abomination, while preventing them from traveling to other parts of China? They are certainly finding our continued economic repression quite useful.
I give up.
Nine Georgia children have severe new illness linked to COVID-19, state health department says

In was in the Illinois office, that they just re-opened. He didn't contract it at work but he seemed to have been back at the facility when he got contacted or was told somehow he was with people that had the virus. They closed today to "clean" and plan to re-open on Tuesday after the holiday.
Dang, how many kids now? I have read several reports of this now, all over the country.
Another 20K day for Brazil pushes them to the second highest number of infections despite having one of the lowest testing rates. Completely ignoring a problem rarely turns out well...
Then I will say, “Welcome to my world.” I believe I’ve always had a somewhat lower-than-average T level, and I’m currently on supplements (prescribed) for Low T.
If COVID survivors feel lethargic and have a low sex drive and impotence, testosterone cyprionate injections will be their friend.
The left would like nothing more than for you to be completely dependent on the government for your medical needs. Do exactly as they say, never be critical, praise you dear leaders, show up for your assigned job, and maybe, just maybe you will get the medicine you need. TRT would probably be reserved for “Party Members” (formerly known as “community organizers”).
Well, if this thing is actually like SARS the way you say it is, they will simply feel so pretty when they’ve fully recovered.
I really dont think they know how to test for this thing, what it is, how to treat it, etc.
He said they couldnt confirm it was CV but excluded everything else. They told him at 7 weeks (last week?) maybe the virus levels were too low. That his body had taken care of the virus and now he only has to deal with what comes after that.
Yikes....what "comes after that"? 😱
Yah, I dunno. He speaks very good English but not perfect. So maybe something lost in translation or maybe they let slip what we all think to be true.
CCP Virus effect on placenta
Placentas in COVID-positive pregnant women show injury with blood circulation and clotting
“...we see that same placental finding in a lot of disease states, like fetal growth restriction, preterm birth, preeclampsia or even stillbirth, said Dr. Emily Miller, a co-author of the study and a Northwestern Medicine obstetrician. Seeing this, even acutely in the setting of SARS-CoV-2 infection, makes us worried that this virus may be affecting the placenta.
“Miller said there have been a lot of reports of blood clots during COVID-19 with the general population of patients, and finding clots in the placenta is kind of the placenta version of that same phenomenon.
