I laugh at the people who say the media is inciting fear. BS, they have definitely gotten orders to leave this alone, largely, IMO.
Now, you will only get anecdotal stories of illnesses, spread, etc. Like, my story the other day of my friend in WEEK 8 and barely improving.

Agree. It is appalling the after affects are being ignored.
Amazing how the “official” numbers are different everywhere you look. There are confirmed cases put out by local LE, city council and Health Dept. that can’t agree or simply never make it to the official lists. Many msm reports soon disappear. I couldn’t post a graph showing the uptick of cases here since the opening up but it was very significant.
Can’t have anything interfering with opening the economy. Bet the Chinese are eating popcorn watching us.

Super dangerous because a have two friends, basic conservative types, FOX News viewers who are out there like it's just a regular summer day and they get pissed when anyone tries to tell them different.

I tried to tell her yesterday, because, we are still only at, like, a 5% infection rate. It's not that widespread YET. We just got over a huge chunk of people not going much of anywhere for several weeks
Really? Because in my gut, I KNEW that was being fed from somewhere. I knew it wasn't organic.
There was a university study I read yesterday that analyzed twitter feeds. It came to the conclusion that the majority of pro-open posters were bots, and due to sophistication of the program, it was likely state-sponsored. They said it had the feel of either Russia or CCP. We are on much better terms with Russia than Red China, so the logical culprit is Red China in my opinion.
Do not wear a mask—we need to know who to stay away from....

The ones who have money are leaving. Buying houses elsewhere. I expect more of it as people get their plans together.

Here the problem is not so much the so-called patriots (although the few “conservatives” who live here have gone full Limbaugh, with all the minor columnists joining in the latest “conservative” fad) but the ignorant self-deluded who won’t realize that their desire to be back to normal is causing them to underestimate the danger. Same in New Jersey.
Sorry some of them are going your way. At least they have money and will help the local businesses.
Though, I can attest to the fact that it is influencing people. I see it in my own life with people I know. They want normal life back, they haven’t been touched by this and they choose to believe this because it is what they want to hear and can wrap their heads around. (normalcy bias).
Other people’s freedoms don’t end where your solipsism and self-servitism begin.
The bots don’t worry me—it is the conservative “opinion leaders” like Rush and Hannity that have gone off the rails.
This must be how parents feel when they find out one of their kids has gotten hooked on drugs. :-(

Looks like we were right all along about the whole ‘patriot’ movement wrt this thing.
It’s not just them BTW, there are a lot of people who stand to lose a lot of money if ‘we’ stop consuming.
