If we are in a cold war with Red China, then it may be an effort to hide our casualty figures and data from the enemy. For instance, if the enemy used different methods in different areas to seed the virus (i.e. contaminated Amazon shipment in one city, asymptomatic buffet restaurant super spreader in another city), by not reporting the figures, it will deny the enemy from knowing how effective their various modes of transmission are.

Chicom internet trolls have been pushing the impeach Trump/Russian collusion conspiracy theory since last year. In the last month or so, they are suspected to have started pushing the anti-quarantine and anti-PPE "liberty" movement. By riling up the extremists on both ends, they hope to throw this country into turmoil. So far, their plan has been going great thanks to the many useful idiots who unwittingly push CCP talking points.
