The husband of a couple who began as a comedy team knocking Catholic-Jewish intermarriages, and quite successfully making it work.
He will be missed. The Festivus King!
RIP Jerry. Thank you for the laughs.
The Equalizer was a great show. They cannot make intelligent shows like that today. It had bad guys who were black and white. Edward Woodward made his name here in The Wickerman, which I saw. Then a few later he stars in The Equalizer.
One of the last great ones.
Edward Woodward would actually have people approach in on the streets of New York and ask him for help with desperate situations. He made up cards with various hotline phone numbers that he’d give them. His portrayal of that character was uber cool.
Loved him as Arthur on King of Queens.
“BRO!”.....
Great episode.
Saw him this past weekend in a old cowboy movie.
Hilarious! I love it when people cant tell acting apart from reality. But then Woodward was a very convincing actor.
Here’s the best of. ....Arthur Spooner

Both my late father and I loved the Equalizer.
Edward Woodward had a starring role in the Australian movie Breaker Morant. An excellent movie made in 1980.
it’s available on DVD, and make sure it’s the international release as the US versions do not have or intentionally limited the Stewart Copland soundtracks as NBC had an issue with copyright for the songs. The soundtracks (esp. the INTRO) were done exclusively by Stewart Copeland of the Police which made the show unique. Even Jan Hammer could not come up with original scores for Miami Vice for episodes but Copeland actually did most of it.
I remember a lot of their bits ob the Ed Sullivan show.
Originally created by author Daniel O'Keefe, Festivus entered popular culture after it was made the focus of the 1997 Seinfeld episode "The Strike",[1][2] which O'Keefe's son, Dan O'Keefe, co-wrote.
Odds against you?

I always get Festivus and Kwanza confused.
One of the retro channels, Grit maybe was showing the Equalizer sometime last year. It was a very good show.
I loved the commercials they did.
