The Equalizer was a great show. They cannot make intelligent shows like that today. It had bad guys who were black and white. Edward Woodward made his name here in The Wickerman, which I saw. Then a few later he stars in The Equalizer.

Edward Woodward would actually have people approach in on the streets of New York and ask him for help with desperate situations. He made up cards with various hotline phone numbers that he’d give them. His portrayal of that character was uber cool.

Both my late father and I loved the Equalizer.

Edward Woodward had a starring role in the Australian movie Breaker Morant. An excellent movie made in 1980.

One of the retro channels, Grit maybe was showing the Equalizer sometime last year. It was a very good show.
