Good 70's band. All dead from cancer except David Gates.
One of my personal favorites by this band. Great vocals by James Griffin and harmonies on the chorus.
I have a pile of Bread 8-tracks around here someplace , probably all rotten inside ,D’oh
I only remember...
“I want to make it with you”
“It don’t matter to me”
and
“Baby I’m a want you”
We had a local morning host than always introduced them as the Bread group.
Another one I like ...
Let Your Love Go 1971
“Guitar Man” is one of their most beautiful and haunting songs.
“Guitar Man” takes me back in time almost instantly. Sadness and joy at the same time. Such is life.
Too many Bread songs sound the same. I have a belief that if one goes to Hell they only play Bread, Air Supply and “Having My Baby” on the intercom.
“Everything I Own” is a killer too.
Oh. And Neil Diamond singing “I Dreamed A Dream” .
That or “The Entertainer” on loop endlessly.
Good for David Gates. IIRC, he took the money he made, bought a each up in Wyoming or Montana, and he and his wife raised a bunch of nice, normal kids.
Supposed to say “bought a ranch”
This one too:

Bread was 70s make out music ..
I listen to the The Bread Special - 1978 - (Full Concert) frequently.

Maybe slightly off topic, but sure you’ll like it,
Found this channel and they have live performers from Mexico during the quarantine with questions and answers between songs. They usually go 1 or 2 hours;
This one is live now;
Querrequeando con Soraima y sus Huastecos.

Not quite. Original member Robb Royer is still alive and well living in Nashville.
