DETROIT — State Rep. Karen Whitsett, D-Detroit, filed a federal lawsuit Thursday against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and several fellow Democrats, claiming violations of free speech and defamation.
Specifically, Whitsett claimed Whitmer and the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party Organization sought to deprive her of her right to engage in protected speech after she publicly thanked President Donald Trump for his suggestion of using the drug hydroxychloroquine to treat her coronavirus case.

Even her dog is smiling.
We have our first canine unit on the county sheriff team. Everyone is excited.

“but it seems that the current coronavirus epidemic is being used as a reason for the Communist Party to put even more pressure on the church than they have in the last two years.”
That’s happening here too. Prayers for the persecuted Christians.

Near the Purdue campus. Dad was an IU grad. Lots of jokes about it from his grandkids who were PU grads.

Having the graduates drive through the community is a great idea. Even though they are not sitting together in stadium or in auditorium, they are doing the drive together. If the community is notified about it, people can even be standing outside on their own lawns waving and clapping. With the easing up of social distancing perhaps they can even have a big get together afterwards in a park with each immediate family staying separate from the others and bringing their own food.
On my walks, I pass by several homes that have lawn signs with the name of their high school graduate and their school. Its a nice thing that the schools have provided those signs. I am sad for the disappointments that those kids have had to endure but proud of them for their accomplishment and for carrying on.

What a story. I didnt know that security at the gates of military bases were wearing Kevlar vests but its obviously a good idea. It saved her life. She was very brave and I am so proud of her.
Does anyone know how long security personnel at the gates of military bases have been wearing Kevlar vests?
