I certainly wouldn’t want to get between you & your brood. Not a big cat fan, but I seem to be taking a liking to Mollie.

COVID HERO: Alaskan Man Takes 14-Hour Boat Trips To Costco To Keep His Town Fed During Lockdown
A tiny little Alaskan town, Gustavus, had their dock destroyed in a storm. That, together with the ferry system collapsing under the pandemic, and they were suddenly cut off from the world.
For a town that relies on that Ferry for their contact to the outside world including groceries that was a serious problem. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Along came their grocer, Toshua Parker, to the rescue with a totally out of the box solution.
He bought an old 96-foot-long military landing craft and put it to use
Toshua Parker, the owner of Icy Strait Wholesale in Gustavus, started loading shipping crates onto a boat to make a weekly 14-hour journey to a Costco in Juneau, 50 miles away, in order to supply his town with groceries.
Parker told the Post he picks up $30,000 worth of basically everythinglike milk, soil, meat during his weekly voyages to Costco.
Gustavuswhich has no roadsbegan running out of supplies as the town went on lockdown, so Parker spoke with local fisherman and decided to make weekly trips on his 96-foot long converted military landing craft and scheduled the trips around tides and weather to Juneau.
When we get to Juneau, we cant get off the boat because of restrictions. So a different set of guys bring the supplies to the boat. Our guys load the stuff on the boat, Parker said. Then the staff of 15, turns around and makes the 7-hour voyage back to Gustavus where he uses the supplies to stock his grocery store.
We are going to keep doing what were doing, said Parker. He is optimistic about the future, admitting hell need to adjust to the new normal.
Toshua pretty much saved the town, Gustavus Mayor Casipit said in an interview with Tanks Good News. I really dont know what we wouldve done without him. NewYorkPost

Pelosis HEROES Act Forces Unemployed Americans to Compete With Illegal Aliens
Buried under the misleadingly titled, “Protections for Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers”, is a virtual blank check to keep illegal aliens from being deported. The HEROES Act’s definition of “critical infrastructure workers” covers cafeteria workers, warehouse janitors, and pet food delivery boys.
Anyone who works in virtually any field involving food in any way is a “critical infrastructure worker”. An illegal alien putting out mouse traps at any facility involving food from “wholesale to retail” is a critical worker. A vast array of call center workers and delivery people are covered. Even laundromat employees are critical infrastructure workers under the federal definition used by the HEROES Act.
The HEROES Act doesn’t just protect illegal aliens from deportation, but SEC. 191203 declares that “hiring” illegal aliens is not a violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act and that the aliens are “deemed to be in a period of deferred action and authorized for employment.”
Americans seeking jobs as essential workers will be forced to compete with newly legalized illegal aliens.
The HEROES Act is really a backdoor amnesty that will declare illegal aliens heroes for delivering pizza. And these heroes who delivered pizza and sprayed for roaches in a plant somewhere cant be deported. Instead, theyre going to be honored and legalized while Americans lose their jobs, savings, and lives.
The HEROES Act may end up killing more Americans of employment age than the coronavirus will.

US authorities arrested a former special operations soldier and another man in Massachusetts Wednesday morning wanted by the Japanese government for their alleged roles in former Nissan chairman Carlos Ghosn’s great escape from Japan to Turkey and from there to Lebanon.
Bloomberg reports Michael L. Taylor (former US Army Special Forces) and Peter Maxwell Taylor, his son, face possible extradition for their involvement in the escape. Court records show both men are scheduled to appear by video in Massachusetts federal court on Wednesday afternoon.
US prosecutors requested the federal court deny bail for both men while they await extradition, indicating that both are “not just capable of fleeing while on bond” but are “expert[s] on the subject.”
