Finally, because of Public pressure, our county shops will open this week. Phase 2 started. The health officer should be dispatched to Wuhan.

Yesterday, I was watching live from Wuhan by some South African white guy, Some streets are still locked down. They have tents all over for testing sites. Some shops are still close. May be owners are dead. Main road 30% traffic on Sunday. Semi dead place.

All these restaurateurs are requesting for additional time to spend the PPP. Not necessarily additional PPP, but more time to spend it. They want until Oct 31.

All agree with a payroll tax cut.

I don't have a problem with this..not everyone is a Jerk and why punish the people who don't push the system. Nothing is 100% good and the people at my hair shop was getting help along with other deserving people. We're only hearing about the dead beats and people who underpay their help. Ivanka has done a lot for small businesses and it has really geared her dad to be also very well aware of their importance in our country.

OK..I'll get my head out of another area. I am reading your post. Actually re-reading both your post. So please bare with me. Are they saying the small business owners have done well with the money they've received...and some are asking for more time? Today on a Fox show someone mentioned that after receiving the money they must pay 75% of it on their employees? It this correct? How can this be correct? I would be hard to spend that amount in such small amount of time. Please explain. I'm struggling here..LOL

I don’t have a problem with the original PPP & if that is all, then fine. I do have a problem with any additional stimulus & extending the Unemployment Benefits.

Lets see how the original stimulus goes & start getting people back to work. We are now paying people to NOT to work more than they can make by actually going to work.

Well, the PPP was issued to cover payroll for 2 1/2 months. So you had to take your payroll costs BEFORE the Wuhan Virus & multiply it by 2.5 & spend it on employee payroll (mostly) to keep them on board.

So they have about 8 weeks to use up the money. They are now asking for additional time to pay it out.

Probably not free to open yet or at a capacity limit. They should remove the national emergency for all States and just deal with true local emergencies, if not now, then soon. And these governors should STOP deeming small business as non essential.
