Hi, NIKK. We are getting rain , but not downpours.
Thanks, ma. Praying. Amen.
Atwater, CA declares itself sanctuary city from lockdown, allows businesses to open
The hot, new take on the Sanctuary City concept.
The City of Atwater has declared itself a sanctuary city for all businesses, allowing owners to open despite the state of Californias stay-at-home order amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Atwater City Council voted on the resolution on Friday afternoon, saying it, Affirms the citys commitment to fundamental constitutional rights.
This is America. You have the choice. Its time for the government to stop dictating another month, another three months, six months, said Atwater Mayor Paul Creighton. When is it going to end? When everyone is bankrupt?
Non-profit organizations, such as churches, are also allowed to reopen under the new resolution.
I was just flipping channels and CNN said this was a BIG thing, they said a lot of other BS.
No, didn’t hear Wray or Barr blame Apple.
Both praised the techs at the FBI for opening the phones.
Good for Atwater, CA!!!!
Need MORE leadership like this.
thanks for that.
my wife’s company just got approved.
They are holding off taking it. (all their employees are highly paid)(I think they should take it and not use it.)
The way she explained it is, if they take it, and keep paying their employees, the employees aren’t supposed to file for UA.
My questions was: “How would anyone know “
she said then the company would contest anyone filing for unemployment, on that basis.
So the oversight is on the employers...
I saw Wray complaining that Apple didn’t help them one bit.
I think Apple should help if it’s a bonanza fide terrorist or mass murder situation. But the problem is the FBI would want to use it to investigate domestic terrorists like you and me.
i should have pinged you to this...
Yes, I heard Wray complaining but I guess I didn’t think of it as blaming. LOL
That’d OK, I read your post.
This whole lockdown is one big whopping mess!!!!
Well that works. Employers have oversight as it is. Of course, in California I had to fire someone for cheating on her timesheet. I had given her warnings before, claiming to have worked hours she didn’t, even whole days. Caught her when we had security cameras installed and she couldn’t lie her way out of it. And she did our payroll!
Anyway, I contested her unemployment and they told me she qualified because not cheating on her timesheet wasn’t in her job description!
I only know of one Chinese (go figure) restaurant in my immediate area that has closed for good.
Some are barely hanging on though and are not sure if they are going to make it.
There is a buffet style chain called Sweet Tomatoes that my whole family liked to gather at when we were in the big city that has closed its doors.

Good news! Must have been wonderful to be there.
This lockdown will serve as a huge eye-opener, IMHO. It is waking a sleeping giant. Maybe even Canada will roll over and wake from its slumber, but I doubt it.
Why are they being ugly to those that order online?
I’ve been thinking about picking up some Kung Pao beef.
Saner heads ARE prevailing.
