How can this level of tyranny be justified for what is really just the flu? Even though this overblown Wuhan flu crisis isn’t over, just think of the next virus pandemic when some children might actually die. The media will clamor for another lockdown - politicians will react accordingly because they don’t want the blood of the children on their hands. They now have the blueprint for obtaining more socialism in the future.
This social distancing is not natural. Anything that involves widespread, sustained and significant deviations from natural human behavior will lead to terrible consequences. And whoever suggests this deviation is likely a leftist tyrant.
Newsom is an idiot and closing California beaches because of Wuhan flu is idiotic. Is it truly healthier to be stuck in your home all day or to be out in the sun? At least some steps toward freedom are happening in some Red states - let’s keep the progress coming there.
Who expected to become a fan of Elon Musk and Sweden before this started? A Flubro commented recently that he will never make fun of Sweden again.

If this viral outbreak had really been a pandemic, like the plague, it would have made sense. But it isn’t, and never was.

I don’t think so. It was so easy to frighten people, even here on FR. A precedent has now been set.
I am sure that if Nancy Pelosi still rules the house, she will gladly support 2-4trillion dollars in another pork bill.
